ok for the mag thing, on AFN they had a piece about the whole thing, apparently they fast roped and "attacked and overrun an Objective, then eliminated antoher target with a pack howitzer"

 

also the odd helmet mount is a new norotos mount for the new NVG mix of PVS 14 (gen 3) and FLIR, basically it can see through smoke, dust, etc Rangers are using them in Afghanistan

Sorry to make this public. But a few gear sellers I know alerted me to someone trying to sell an RBSS. This alone isn't all that special, but they are trying to use my pictures of MY vest in the sale.

 

I just want to alert you guys that this is shady as hell, and if I find it's from one of the Arnie's members I'll definitely bring this to the higher mods.

Umm, honestly, I'd let this bake a LOT LONGER. Besides a PCU jacket this looks as close to a ranger rig as I am a ballerina.

 

Not to go off on a rant here. But the quality of posts in general has severely dropped off lately. One of the things I appreciated about this thread was that posts weren't always common but when they happened it was quality posts. Lately this has turned in to a duplicate of the SEAL thread. Stupid posts, pointless debates, and rigs that look like someone put about a weeks worth of effort in to their ######.

 

I'm not trying to be defensive, but honest to god, did I not get the memo that we were officially lowering the bar in this thread? Because I didn't get it. The ratio of signal to noise is severely skewed in the wrong direction. This used to be a prime example of GREAT load out threads.

Okay here is what to change . . .

 

-Ditch ALL current pouches get some TT RG (shingle and small zippered GP) or best yet some EI RG items (If you are cheap ;) get some Pantac RG)

-Ditch the holster and sidearm. Though you may play with it on this is going to be judged as an impression. Take the photos with out (insert impression name here) gear.

-Get a haircut. The hair is way too long for an impression such as this. If you REALLY want to look the part get it buzzed "high and tight".

-Change out the front end of your gun to a KAC style RIS and ditch the Noviske flashhider. Get a decent optic such as an Aimpoint or ACOG repro.

-Get rid of the first line. Only ranger officers and specialists (snipers and SAW gunners, maybe medics) would carry carry a sidearm. Without a sidearm there is no need to have a first line.

-Unless you want to spend a fortune get a set of COMTAC II repros as a substitute for the SORDINs.

 

 

 

Devil's Details:

-Get boot bands (correct name?) to blouse your boots properly.

-Maybe a multitool on your belt for quick access?

-Repro MBITR unless you want to find a Marconi(sp?) radio. The TS one is now stocked at ASGI so you could stroll down there and get one though I would recommend getting the newer Spartan Imports model as it is MUCH more sturdy.

-Some frag pouches from EI and some "deactivated" Baseball Grenades. You can PM Sgt.Kinnard on making them as realistic as possible within the law of These United States.

-Maybe a fake PVS-14 on that MICH?

-IR chemlights

-Petzel Headlamp on the MICH as well.

1. Working on it, I dont know how I ended up with all paraclete SG gear on my vest, but eventually, Ill cycle it all out for EI.

If I did get a set Id probably use it on the field also(not just for an impression), so long as it does its job, it should be ok.

Do I really need fake grenades? They're just pics, you wont be able to see whats inside. I could just use tennis balls or something

The EBB COMTAC IIs are decent and they can be changed if hey don't work. ASGI also has one if ya take a stroll down the street.

You can use tennis balls if ya want (thats what I use at my field ;))

 

I want a PVS 14 too so I dunno there was a link on wannabe awhile ago . .. but I was banned :(:P

side arm should be an m9 with that rlcs hoslter attached to a blackhawk rigger belt

if you want to look like your from 1993 sure get a high and tight

I dont know what the hell the ris style is or whatever, but get a mx6 light, eotech, front grip and peq15 all in that nasty tan brown color crane stock sure why not

good plan i was looking for these myself.

 

oakely m frames or a frames,

mich 2000 or 2001

norotos, or regular mount or wilcox

pvs 14's or pvs 15's

regular acu top

knee pads of alta type

med kit, lose the map, if you want a back pack get the dbt sof one in rg or whatever their color is

boots IWA 670-1

you dont need boot blousers just use the string on the bottem of acu pants

sure fire helmet light or petzel

cool guy helmet paint job

 

1 can of muscle

1 can of attitude
