Nah, just arrange the pads inside to allow for your headband to fit in between them.  My Airfame has no pads in the middle top of the head to allow for that.

Cheers fella. Much appreciated. PLUS that set up looks legit. Top points for that one!

Little change of pace from the Ops Cores and Airframes.
Apparently this helmet belonged to a PJ before it finally made it into my hands, it originally had an L2G05 on it, but my buddy sold it without the helmet, because I wanted this thing so damn bad. I've added the TATM

CZKQmeS.jpg
SIVwk51.jpg
Pro Tec (don't know the model) modded to work with comms
Norotos Long TATM
Norotos PASGT NVG plate (Replacing with MICH NVG Plate)
Ops Core X Nape
Counterweight pouch (don't know the brand)
IR glow tube strobe thing that I have no clue what it is (It's above the counterweight if anyone can tell me what the hell it does, lol)
MS2000
MSA Sordin

Probs not gonna paint it, I really like the way it looks as-is

I'll take some more detailed pics when I get it finished, it needs pads on the inside and I need to completely redo the velcro inside it.
But for now, enjoy!

I haven't got the slightest clue how the original owner did it (I'm like the third or fourth owner of it).

However the guy did a pretty good job with it. I would assume he put his headset up to the side of the helmet, traced it out with a sharpie and just cut along the line.

He did a pretty damn good job though.

Well folks the work has been completed and the pictures are finally here. Some time ago I started work on my MICH and bought a load of odds and sods for it as seen here:

As you can see this was origionally going to be a MICH with a marpat cover, however since I bought all these items I moved away from Marpat and over to Multicam so decided the cover wasnt really suitable. I decided then to spray the helmet and move to a patterned design.

In the end the parts used were the NVG mount, a set of Ops Core Rails, the surefire replica, an emerson chin strap and the velcro i ordered. The origional strap bought was flawed and unusable so i had to replace it.

Personally despite the bulk of the helmet compare to my FAST helmet i like the effect. There seems to be something missing and i would like to add some more bits to the helmet, I just cant put my finger on what to add though.

So there you have it, the completed (at least base completion) of the MICH 2000.

Any thoughts and comments on the helmet would be great.

Pretty bland right now, I need to get a few more items for her like the Rails, the cover, Ops Core VAS Shroud, Princeton Tec Switch MPLS, a Manta Strobe, and some ANVIS stuffs. Also need to drill holes to mount the VAS. Any suggestions on the drilling (because it's a real Airframe)?
