Mr. Jon
Decided to try out a new cool guy snake skin pattern on my replica helmet: it looks fine functionally but if you want it seamless you really need to use one piece of mesh otherwise you do get that overlapping. but it still looks like it will work fine

Mr. Jon
and uneven glare. which is what we like to see (or not hopefully )
zard
Nothing special. I'll grab some pics with the Fhrillie* suit attachment when I get the kit out this weekend. *Fhrillie suit is my name for the Tactical Individual Concealment Suit (TICS) that I use when sniping, it's apparently in use with some British snipers. Pkekyo-Nor
Just finished adding new pads to my lid I consider this project completed, and everything on it is real steel except the SF-HL1, DEVGRU-headset and the shell itself
Whitehawk
Awesome looking helmet Pkekyo-Nor. How did you attach that burlap?
Pkekyo-Nor
There's two lengths of Bungee cord running around it. One through the top of the goggle retention straps and between the top of the NVG bracket and it's retention strap, and another one through the bottom of the goggle retention straps and through the open space on the bottom of the NVG bracket. Something like this; And then the burlap is just woven between them Excuse the crude drawing Edited March 25, 2009 by Pkekyo-Nor
Whitehawk
Thx, helped a lot. I shall try that to my helmet too .
-=OGGY=-
what is the point of having a helmet pictures and spec ops helmet pictures thread? yes i know the spec ops one was too specific, but why didn't that thread just get renamed? anyway i sense a thread merge coming...... Pkekyo-Nor
OGGY, please don't give the moderators any "bright" ideas... some of us just don't feel like sifting through 50 pages of velcro-raped MICH 2002s every time we're looking for lid inspiration and such...
