Amenthea
Does anyone know what kind of sizing the FMA Fast BLT repro's are matched too? I've got a smallish head so anything over M-L will look like a skip on my head. I've also noticed they have vanished off of EBairsoft (again) since I last looked, but JKArmy, DragonRed and the BJShop still have them. Are they getting pulled due to licensing or something? Amenthea
Thanks JP, I might have to re-evaluate my lid choice if they are that large. As its the adjustable harness part which interests me the most I might get that separately for my 2001.
beta08
The evolution of my Airframe so far: Step 1: Added Velcro Step 2: Painted the rails and shroud, textured the helmet and painted it FDE:
Touchette
As its the adjustable harness part which interests me the most I might get that separately for my 2001. Ops Core's ACH Occ-Dial Liner Kit doesn't fit the 2001; well the RS version doesn't anyway, but I suppose the repro one might if there is one.

akiraspeedstar
I'll admit, I thought those airframes weren't big enough to fit someones head until I saw a picture haha.
SwatMP5man
My LATCH with new Element Elight, sprayed over the dodgy/shiny MC base with Krylon and used fine paper to sand it away and give it a dusty appearance which I think looks alright.
druid799
airframe in use , ive atatched my mesh mask to the goggle catches on the side of the rails with elastic and buckles so its integral to the helmet now (but can be removed) , very comfy indeed ; Edited January 17, 2012 by druid799
sigma3
How about another Airframe, then? One big difference I see... looks like you screwed your NVG shroud through the helmet cover? I thought about it and didn't. (although now that I'm looking closer it seems like your cover is completely different, actually.) Edited January 18, 2012 by sigma3
Lizzard
I think his is the replica cover designed for a MICH 2001.
sigma3
Yeah, looks about right. All right then, crisis averted.
druid799
Yup lizard wins the prize ! :-) was too tight over the mount so it had to go out side , have to say considering its a cheap a*s knock off its damn comfy , only ditched it at the end of the day as the sun had dropped and we were scurmishing in to it so I wanted my boonie for a bit more eye shade . jonarthur
hey quick question for all you v-lite users. is there any protocol from mounting them and what colours to use? i think i remember someone saying using red and blue on the back of your helmet? do different colours mean different things? or can you just throw on what ever colours you want ? frogfish
In certain situations yes, look at the regulations for direction indicating lighting if that's the route you want to do. For the most part a single red or IR on the back of the helmet is most common. Edited January 18, 2012 by frogfish
rolling-thunder
Not Green - starboard , Red - port then?
Blackjack13
There was a very heated two-page debate about this on GearSoc a couple of months back. I think it was concluded that there's no standardised practice, it's all culturally/situation variable.
sigma3
I know V-lites are all the rage, but surely guys are using APALS, as well? I was gonna pick up a box of those.
frogfish
I have yet to see any in VA Beach, but that dosen't mean they aren't. It would probably help if places like GSS Gear actually sold them. Edited January 19, 2012 by frogfish

sigma3
TMC Airframe, yes. Crye cover, size medium.
kojak
Joined the Emerson FAST club: Painted it (just a few dashes of OD and camo brown over the FDE) and got slightly carried away with the MC Velcro. I need to work out one more mounting point for the headset, though it's actually pretty stable since the goggle elastic helps hold it in place.
_Karma_
TMC Airframe, yes. Crye cover, size medium. Great. Thanks. I have one on order and was worried about the size. Looks good.
