Guinness
Ruger AC556F. If its good enough for a crack team of commandos from Nam, its good enough for me. -snip-   wow....brilliant  Did you use an M-14 as the source weapon? If so its an obvious choice, although the M14's 7.62 receiver is larger than the AC556/Ruger Mini14- however you have really made an excellent replica of Hannibal Smith's favorite gun!     and Candyman, well...we are all mere mortals in his presence aren't we? He should be selling 'how-to' dvd's to offset his materials costs.   Slainte!
thecandyman
All are very nice looking guns guys. Hats off!

Thanks. Yes, I used an M14 as base as it was the common suggestion in the projects thread. The other was that I buy a $290 springer and somehow fit a gearbox in it. Weirdguy
You mean like this? http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb246/c...at/g18cm203.jpg  Now mount the nerf on it and you will have a gun that I truly envy.   (except maybe you could get a compact glock...) RendyLatief
The only thing i think candyman should do is sell his idea to companies such a systema, Wa, etc. I think airsoft companies would gladly pay for his idea + a 10% cut for all sales.. Â In the end, BRAVO, BRAVOOOO Candyman ! looking forward for your heart pounder next project..
luvs2shoot
Candyman wins with ANY of those 3 guns he built. Â there, you guys can close the thread.

lord_marmite
Its taken approximately 1 hour to turn this:  into this:  more work to do, but so far it still shoots the same, and the range is also still the same despite me hacksawing 3 inches off the already short barrel  just need some modelling putty to finish it cosmetically, then a nice coat of black paint should top it all off  any comments welcome  Joe

DesertFoxRomel
Not exactly an airsoft gun, but I have a home made Wolf Hook if that is worth mentioning. The webbing cost about $4 a yard at Johann and the buckle was salvaged from a back pack.      What I was trying to copy: http://www.usmilitarysurplus.com/surplusca...hookpackage.gif  http://www.rangerjoes.com/images/8276.jpg
