scorch
I think he means the red dot is on backwards. Didn't you notice?
Oshiha
Oops, I put the doctor sight on backwards while I put it back together after cleaning the inside ! A variable 3.5-9x zoom scope is on the way, same with a 6-12" bipod
rolling-thunder
Nope i didn't notice, shame on me

G&G SR-25 SPR plus trimmings. Gorgeous! How have you found the performance? Saw one of these at the local store -- would consider a purchase.
faramon
Pretty good , Only actually got to use it once in game xD. But it performs pretty well I could do with getting a TB but that's for the future. Edited October 31, 2012 by faramon

I think it comes with a 6.04 OOTB - also what kind of battery were you using and what was the trigger response like?
faramon
trigger response is very good, using a 8.4 4300 Nihm, I hadn't thought exactly yet .. it is actually a lesser priority

Well if it falls so low down your priority list that you'd want to get rid of... let me know! haha
FTZ-WildeCard
OK - after a particularly bad month, I managed to allow myself to be "talked into" getting a treat.

Sallinen
Oh silly FTZ, you cant shoot a gun like that. On a more serious note: the gun looks good and the pic is nice.
FTZ-WildeCard
Oh silly FTZ, you cant shoot a gun like that. Thanks - Always looking to improve, but it'd help if you'd elaborate on what I'm doing wrong.
Sallinen
Well using the bipod on such a narrow base, with real gun the recoil could kick the legs off of it. Especially the right leg is barely on the railing.
Tarr
And from an airsoft point of view - trying to target something to your left or right will result in the same ^^. Love the rifle, G&P?
FTZ-WildeCard
I already knew how impractical the railing is when we set up, it's far too thin to make an effective pivot for starters -- but it gave an interesting view for a staged photo. I thought there was something else much worse I had missed! But thanks for the input, I'd like to make the photos more believable!! It's G&G's version. One thing that really struck me is how light it is when you pick it up, versus its size!
faramon
The weight thing is certainly true: She is 5ft 1 and was able to wield the weight at least ... though she looked hilariously undersized most of the time compared to it xD
FTZ-WildeCard
I like this pic as it helps demonstrate how large the SR25 is! Also, Ronald McDonald in a strange pose.
faramon
That's my house mate as McDonald .. she is a weird one at times <3 her though. Yea .. the SR25 is ginormous
FTZ-WildeCard
That's my house mate as McDonald .. she is a weird one at times <3 her though. Yea .. the SR25 is ginormous Yes it is! Upgrade wise I've already had a high torque motor swapped in and that is giving a great trigger response - Was also talking to the local shop around fps upgrades (as the site I play at has leeway for semi-locked AEGs for up to 400fps) and could be handled with a spring swap on its own. I did also look into a barrel swap and was recommended a Madbull Python II. Hop wise, it seems the whole unit is proprietary to the GR25, leaving only a choice of hop rubber -- though the standard green G&G rubber is good. Don't suppose there are any other thoughts or experiences on how to get the best range / accuracy @ 400 fps?
