hardboiledcop
isn't midnight black the blued-ish finish, I believe the S&W M500 is available in midnight black.
Shao14
Redwolf is the only one that I'm aware of who calls the new tanaka midnight finish "midnight black". GnG simply calls it "midnight." It depends on the light and the background colors in the photos, and as pointed out, it has a bronze look under good light conditions. GnG's photos are fairly accurate. WGC's photo for the midnight gold is definitely wrong unless Tanaka makes a special midnight gold finish for WGC.

Chris North
Â Tanaka Redhawk. My first revolver. Â Can anyone tell me how to take the grips off? I'm having trouble getting the safety out of the slot in the grip. Edited June 27, 2007 by ChrisNorthInGer

DazJW
 Crown 4" and R357 6".  Shame the Crown is about 80FPS and the R357 doesn't have a proper cylinder For £10 and £30 you can't really complain though  Edit: And the Crown has been sprayed, hence being gun metal instead of shiny black. junior
Question. Will a Tanaka M629 be able to fit the Zeke M29 kit or are they 2 different guns? I assume it would, but I would like to know for sure before I order it. Thanks Edited July 3, 2007 by junior
snowman
Yes, the ZEKE kit is for the Tanaka. Â Cheers.

renegadecow
anyone have any thoughts on the 10.5 S&W M500? besides that its a ridiculously large gun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its already got a rail mounted on the barrel, making attaching optics easier, plus the sling swivels will be a help. Otherwise, for non-PC 500s you'd need to buy a real steel rail mount ($90) plus a holster if you don't want to hold-on to it all of the time.
wolfstein5
Is there anyone that has picked up one of Tanaka's new silver 6.5" M29s and could comment on it? Â And aren't they called M629s? Edited July 18, 2007 by wolfstein5

renegadecow
I've been told that the inner barrel of the 10.5" is the same with the 8.3", so expect similar performance.

my_plague_666
anyone have any thoughts on the 10.5 S&W M500? besides that its a ridiculously large gun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â ugly as sin IMO. and i think impracticly large, im still debating on whether an 8" would be too big. Â anyone know if 6" tanakas have the same amazing powet and accuracy of the 8" M500. and can someone recomend one to me? (preferably similar design to the M500, M269 or summut i think and preferably in midnight blue/black) Â and is it true that you can adjust the trigger pull for a lighter pull that will strike the valve lighter so i could use green gas for light trigger pull and great efficiency
AliceHKfan
I think the 10.5 is ugly too, but looks aren't totally important if you're doing it for target shooting though the Artillery P08 fits both bills in looks and performance
