Shao14
Yeeah, that's more like it. There's no going back now, is there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha, indeed! My forearm muscles have all bulged out trying to hold the gun steady, and there's no turning back now.

5thElement
Nice videos, was good to see the decocking lever in action Edited May 7, 2005 by 5thElement
Shao14
The decocking lever is really not that mysterious if you have handled a USP Compact, or KSC's Mk23, or WA's Beretta. I like it.

Regards, iBAWLS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unfortunately, there's no build-in place to hook up a lanyard, unless you count the trigger guard.
Shao14
Doh, can't edit that last message anymore. But scratch that. Here's the real answer.

Haven't heard anybody else report any incidence with green gas either.
Tigerlight
Zeke are making a metal slide for it http://www.products-zeke.com/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Didn't know about the metal slide, thanks for that...but I am in the process of importing a 6.01mm long barrel and silencer extension from X-Fire. That will increase it's already considerable accuracy and add some extra power to boot. http://www.x-fire.org/handgun/sig/sa/e.main.html

Shao14
ok thanks! I suddenly have the urge to hose more money on guns.... strange.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Must be the spring time. By the way, I noticed that with a full mag of green gas, I could barely get off 2 mags of BBs, but with a mag full of 134a gas, I could shoot 3 mags of BBs. Well, 134a gas is supposed to be more efficient than green gas, but my G17 or USPc all can get off 3 mags on one charge of green gas. Tigerlight
While this may be covered in other topics, I cannot find it. Simple question, really...can you put M100 or 1J springs in a handgun like the 226?
Utty
No. The mechanisms are completely incompatible. A GBB gun doesn't rely on a spring to power the BB, the gas pressure does that.
Tigerlight
Well, I meant the recoil spring, but I assume from your answer that it does not approach the power of an M100 or higher so you couldn't use one as a recoil spring?
Catchv22
The GBB doesn't derive its power from the recoil spring.

partyboy
Maybe he means recoil springs i.e. 120%/150% ? Slightly changing the subject, anyone seen any other accesories for the 226 yet. So far i make it the Sheriff and Zeke slides, X fire inner barrel and X fire inner barrel and silencer adapter. Anyone seen any others? Links would be good too Edited May 17, 2005 by partyboy
Utty
All the parts on the X-Fire site are PDI brand. And besides the parts you mention, they also have an upgrade piston head. DEN have some Proud recoil & hammer springs as well.

PenGun
I love the 226. Its very accurate and ultra reliable. Never had a problem of any sort with it and its probably more accurate than me... Only downside is the weight. Its about 150g too light. Need the metal slide and frame from Sheriff etc when it comes out. Another thing is the slide finish is the same as the frame. On real Sigs the slide is a duller matt finish called Nitron I think. Overall an excellent gun for £
Shao14
I think the weight of the TM P226 is actually a few grams heavier than an un-loaded real steal Sig, but of course once you load some leads in the real steal, it'd weight heavier.
Utty
True. Then a Prime kit-equipped TM P226 (1550g(!) according to the Boom Arms site) is actually far heavier than even a fully loaded RS P226, and even a little heavier than two unloaded RSs. A little over the top maybe?
