Naveronski
Sorry, just looked at the first one. Didn't pay attention to the second.
dog green 1
Would love to put this impression together. Like Gadge I too got the SAS Action Man, still got him now. Were all the suits/overalls black. In a lot of the SAS reference books I have some of them seem to be wearing blue. Are the blue ones more recent. Would love to get down to Sabre Sales. Sounds like you could get lost in there.

1st Commando
black (which isn't pure black) replaced blue for the most part
Grey_Fox
Nice thread. I am interested in the pistol the SAS used back then. They used HPs instead od 1911? I want to make an SAS (or Delta) loadout but in 80's era with black ops in Afghanistan in mind.
Skarclaw
If they were in afghanistan in the 80s I'd expect it to be pretty *fruitcage* covert so I expect you'd be looking at local clothing and weapons and maybe loads of camera and radio equipment... I dunno, someone with more knowledge can answer this one
Grey_Fox
For main weapon they used G3s or AKs. Local clothes remain the same the last 50 years in this area . But I cannot find any info about their handguns.
Talonclaw117
G3s and AKs? I'd have thought they'd be using M16s and SLRs. Could be wrong though. The pistol is likely to be a Browning Hi-Power.
Skarclaw
Well from what I can tell they were mostly involved in training of mujahadeen, not like full on combat so I doubt they'd be all kitted up anyway and if they were I expect it would be local stuff, as not to be obvious. As said before, I'm not an expert but I would imagine it would be probably be something to do with not wanting to be indentified as any particular nationality, due to diplomatic *suitcase* etc
Grey_Fox
They supposed to blend with the locals. I dont want to get off-topic. If you want I can open a new one.
