Is there any HK airsoft forum with airsoft sales thread? I will be making a solo trip to HK end of this month and looking forward to purchase either used PTS Masada, ARES Tavor, A&K M249 or Real Sword Type 97. Anyone selling?

Any also, what are the famous clubs in HK with nice music? Any street name? Thanks.

A group on facebook always sells used gears and organise games in Hong Kong.

It's call "HK OFF THE GRID" i think its open, if not i can add you, but it still needs admin approval.

As for famous clubs/music? three places:   1.LKF, Central, HK island   2. Hart Road, Wan Chai, Hk Island   3. Knutsford Terrence, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon side.

As for if the music are "nice" well, that depends on your definition! :P

I fear a cross over between Chinese Opera and Canto-pop :fear2:

oh, you'll be safe, all those club types play a variant of mindless  trashy R&B , so you'll be safe. (although if you look about, you'll find some decent live band playing 80's stuff, you know, the GOOD STUFF)

:D  :D

yes.  the group seems to have gathered a few nasty elements.
they will blatantly try to steal players from games.  eg: one group posts up a "sniper only game"  OTG will follow shortly afterwards posting a "sniper only game" on exactly same day and time, then have to cancel cause they can't get the numbers... lol.
They have banned people from there group for asking noob questions.
banned for players getting upset in field....
and banned for un-investigated game incidents, two weeks after the event.
oh and there banning are apparently decided by committee, but the other admins all point the finger at one guy.  lol.
And sadly recently there Facebook group has had a few very expensive burglaries to those that have shown of there fancy equipment only in that group.
Which kinda takes their "facebook friends" to a whole other level.  =/

For those who have brought guns back from Hong Kong to the UK, how much extra time did you have to give for checking in ?  I think I've found the GHK G5 and bits I'm after (aide from the 1 joule nozzle) for a very good price, so may pick them up on Monday (will say where from when I'm back in the UK in case they are low on stock ;) )

Beside Kwong Wa Street, many airsoft shops have been moved to Prosper Commerical Building, 9 Yin Chong St. (near Kwong Wa Street). Their prices seems more competitive than shops in Kwong Wa Street. Important - serives are better !

Oh! i never knew that! Always walk past that building.

How do you get in then? There are lots of street shops outside it and i never seen any signs for any airsoft shops inside there.

Do any shops offer concierge service? If I buy gear from several shops, can I ask one of them to collect the other orders from the other shops and pack them all into one shipment? I tried to source all the stuff I want from one shop...it just isn't happening. The most expensive part of shopping seems to be shipping.

It's not really a 'shop' that can offer this service but perhaps you will have to trust one of the locals to shop around for your parts and send them to you... (small fee required for their trouble of course)

I heard from many people that shopping in HK is not really what you expect to be there. Tiny shops with showrooms and you have to pre order everything.

Is that true?

Were you or these people that you speak of expecting shops the size of warehouses?

Land in HK is expensive, to expect large shops is unrealistic.

Pre order everything? that's pure rubbish

Yep, as a local that bothers me too, most stuff has a tendency of very long restock period / requiring deposit and wait if you're not getting the first batch.

Land is ridiculously expensive, if things are not selling fast enough could be fatal to the business, I can understand that but still...

Hi guys.

Just getting back into Airsoft after a long lay-off (Bike related stuff mostly).
Was out in HK visiting my relatives again last Nov, and had a quick 'tour' of the shops again.

Only bought a few little bits and bobs, as I didn't have my UKARA thing at the time, but now I do!

I'm out again in May, will be doing some more shopping.
Have many of the shops moved away from the Mong Kok area (Kwong Wa St)?
If so, are they concentrated in one area?

I know there's two or three on the Island, and one or two up in the Cheung Sha Wan area (Redwolf for one).
Any other areas worth a visit?

Thanks for any advice,

Doc.

Still the usual suspects around that area, Den Trinity, Cop9, Guns and Guys and Tokyo Model Co.

For replica gear, TMC has their own shop just of Dundas St.

For Gucci gear, visit Supreme located in the Park In Commercial Centre on Dundas St

Also try PTS Steel shop, located in the Wealth Commercial Centre on Kwong Wah St.

Redwolf doesn't really have a retail space, it's more a showcase space.

You should try Airsoft Surgeons shop in Central, there's very nice stuff there.

Don't bother going to Ehobby anymore, it's so small now.
