Bando
cheers, its a nice bit of kit the back shot looks iffy im guessing it has no plates/filler ect in it?
spetsnazdave87
Not yet, it's fairly padded already but think it uses a different sized SAPI plate to the older osprey so need to check that before ordering some. Just shifted the bandolier around to the left side so I can get the rig on and off in less than ten minutes, once I get the plates in, my pack on the back and my grenades on the right the weight should be a lot more balanced. tom lawson
Osprey doesn't take SAPI plates...
spetsnazdave87
My old mk1 took medium replicas pretty snugly? :S
tom lawson
Well the Osprey plates are a very different shape to SAPIs.. If they fit, it's by accident.
Mr. Jon
despite usually being one to plan kits in advance this sort of just assembled itself over time.
random guy
Well the Osprey plates are a very different shape to SAPIs.. If they fit, it's by accident. its what i use in mine, http://www.ebairsoft.com/sapi-ballistic-plate-size-p-2120.html
darkchild130
A guy on another forum was clearing out some fairly recent issue gear (I don't think it's controlled) and I spotted it tucked away in one of his threads. It is an osprey assault mk2 cover and is classed as a disposable item, so nobody cares that much if people sell them. Darkchild
spetsnazdave87
Ah good to know, some of the stuff he was selling was disposable and other stuff wasn't so glad to know this is alright.
darkchild130
Dont get me wrong, the guy will still get in trouble if he gets caught, but you wont get any bother for buying it. Darkchild
spetsnazdave87
I think he acquired it off someone else who'd basically grabbed a load of stuff due to be trashed so hopefully they'll both be alright but yeah no idea what's permitted to buy/sell or not atm and as I'm trying to build a current-ish loadout I'm a bit worried. Darkchild do you know if E-mags are actually in use by our guys yet or are they just on order?
darkchild130
The MOD bought a million of them off the back of the sharpshooter trial (we asked magpul "do you make these in 5.56mm" they said "yes" and the rest is history) First batch should have gone out with 16 air assault bde, so when the pics of their ops start filtering back, we should start seeing e-mags. Personally i have been issued 6, so they are definately in the system. Darkchild
spetsnazdave87
Ah nice good to know. Got a Ris kit for my SA80 so running a GPS grippod, Acog with doctor sight, DE ladder covers and a surefire on it. No idea where to find a replica flash hider though :S
darkchild130
I too have been searching for a replica surefire flash hider, to no avail. May have to try and blag a real one from our unit armourer... Darkchild
spetsnazdave87
Well if its two for the price of one on blagging... Unless Perr mike or an airsoft manufacturer makes a replica though I reckon I'll just stick with regular.
