Sparky2129
I've heard different things about the G&P Acogs, some have defects and some lucky people dont. The best solution, is to get a real Acog. On a side note, This smiley looks like hes up to no good.

Solo
I don't really understand these critics. The US Army seems to find itself wonderfully well with these. And I don't think the soldiers using them are worse than some airsofters here. Anyways. I have two real Acogs - pictured - one TA01 and one TA31F. They're both wonderful and let me tell you, I used to own a G&P. It was the same as the real TA01. Only, it wouldn't zero and it ended crashed on a wall. Then I bought the real ones. But the G&P replica will do just fine, and actually this new batch looks like it's been improved.

FUmiYAsu
Well...I can't really aford a real one...not now at least.. I really want to know the eye relief of the GP ACOG as I am planning to mount it on a M14 and it's going to be in front of the iron sight. If it's eye relief is too short then it will be very hard to use since hte M14 already has a long LOP.

Your eye needs to be close to it to see the whole aperture Edited September 7, 2005 by Solo

Catchv22
I don't really have much of a problem with the eye relief. I find that if you're wearing a thick paintball mask pressing the ACOG against the lens will get you the perfect cheek weld.

So wht's the eye relief like in cm? 2 cm? 3?
Makaveli
Anyone got any pics of an ACOG on and mp5?
Shao14
Anyone got any pics of an ACOG on and mp5? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, ACOG was designed for the M16 family, but I guess you can mount it on an MP5. Probably look weird. Maybe I'll take a picture of that next week, but here's mine, CA M15A4 Carbine with an ACOG.
aimpoint
didnt they use mp5's with acog's in rainbow6 3 ? they looked cool
draco_1967
For all those with a killflash installed: was the installation a drop-in? I know with the replica Aimpoints some models would accept the KF, and some wouldnt...
davedawg123
My m15 w/ my new ACOG. I'm thinking about selling the m15 and getting an SPC for the rails. If you'd be interested, PM me. Edited September 11, 2005 by davedawg123

david3558
LOL he is from military-photos.net, they have TONS of hardcore airsofters there. Many of them have tons of loadouts.

Butter18c
Well the $900 price tag is a bit much for most of us. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> your searching in the wrong place for a real steel ACOG if its $900. On a good day, I can find one for about $600. Still, I see your point in that its so expensive. That's the reason I got an EOTECH for my M4
Shao14
Whoa Shao, that is pretty high. The UTG MP5 is looking good also. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha, yea, that's the only MP5 scope mount I have at the moment, and it's just for show. I don't think I'll mount anything on the MP5 since I'm afraid it'll break the plastic receiver.
Makaveli
Hmmm I'm sure it would look better on a full stock mp5 with a low profile mount. I'm getting one. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the pics. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure it would. Make sure you get a proper low mount though. For instance, this will be too short for mounting the ACOG. But this should be fine.
