johny_blaze
I don't think i've seen more buckles on a single peace of gear before
frogfish
That's high tactical fashion circa mid 2000s, more buckles meant higher speed
voodookid88
Thanks, I knew there was another rack out there in woodland, and you are right I don't think Paraclete did make those pouches in woodland. They did, I had it. the only picture I could find was this one (small)
kojak
My new favorite rig: Fake 1961G with Grey Ghost pack. I wish I could find something similar in OD or Woodland.
beta08
Nice taste... - LBT 6094a Slick - LBT 1961a-r - Tactical Tailor Removable Assault Pack Edited December 12, 2011 by beta08
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
You can attach the TT packs to 1961ARs?
beta08
Sure can!
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
God damn it, I need to sell my M4 so I can get one of these already.
frogfish
To be honest the quality of the Pantac 1961 is on par with LBTs, it's just harder to get a repair done if needed. I'll have a BNIB RG Pantac 1961/MPCR up for sale as soon as I get pics of it.... Edited December 13, 2011 by frogfish
kojak
You can attach the TT packs to 1961ARs? I made adapters to connect the top of the GG pack where the LBT hydration carrier is supposed to go, instead of using the Malice clip buckles like beta08 did. It worked fine both ways, I just preferred the pack to ride lower.
galih_INA
How can you say pantac quality on par with LBT 1961 ? LBT 1961 use 500 cordura and pantac still use 1000 cordura. Totally will have different result. LBT 1961 more soft and light.
-MOOSE-
How can you say pantac quality on par with LBT 1961 ? LBT 1961 use 500 cordura and pantac still use 1000 cordura. Totally will have different result. LBT 1961 more soft and light. What I believe that FrogFish means by his post is that both LBT and Pantac have very high quality products. LBT still offers a variety products in 1000D Cordura. More importantly, the difference in 500D and 1000D does not alter the quality as vastly as your post makes it sound like. The most important points in a gear design according to quality is the stitching of the fabrics in which LBT does a fantastic job with, in my experience. Pantac also has very well stitched gear. Of course the fabric used does count in the overall quality of a specific piece of gear, however, it does not weigh as heavily on the "quality scale" as stitching does. The reasons why LBT picked to use 500D Cordura in their line of products is because it is more flexible, therefore easier to work with, but most importantly because it is more light weight, whereas 1000D will be stronger but heavier. I believe that 500D Cordura would be strong enough to handle most real world scenarios. After all, when gear experiences a lot of wear and tear the breaking points are in the stitching most of the time. The threads will hold the fabric together so they are the main stress points on most pieces of kit.
frogfish
Stitch for stitch LBT's quality and Pantac's are currently equal, things are tacked where they should be, double stitched where they should be, and material quality is equal. The difference in the items comes down to customer service, and different plastic furniture. The difference in price comes down to quantity, QC, and labor rates. As an FYI LBT still offers 1000d versions, and some find 500d to weak and not durable enough for extended use. Edited December 14, 2011 by frogfish
kojak
Plus, it's always cheaper to copy something than to design it even if all other factors were equal. Does Pantac makes a 1961 clone with a front zip?
frogfish
no, they copied Eagle's MPCR. Customer service wise, it's worth paying for an LBT 1961.
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
I just ordered a 1547A, and just that experience has made me decide to deal with LBT again in the future.
galih_INA
point taken, been using lots of flyye and pantac for so many years but I throw em all away. 1. Price is almost near with the real deal 2.If you feel bored, you will ended selling them with very cheap price. 3.No collector value that is my opinion thou.
TheFull9
It's also difficult for people in certain areas to get the real stuff, and once you add in shipping and customs fees its a whole *fruitcage* load more expensive than the Pantac/Flyye that a player would much more likely be able to source locally/in-country. Carter
On the topic of LBT, I'm looking for a rig to use with a SCAR H and I was wondering if the 1961 pouches can hold a 7.62 mag? Thanks.
beta08
Since you can fit 2 m4 mags in each of the pouches I'd only assume you could get 1 7.62 mag in there. There's also a variant specifically for SCARs.
Carter
Yeah that's what I figured as well. Plus, I saw some pictures of SEALs using it about 15 minutes after I asked . Are you referring to the 1961k? I saw that as well but unfortunately real deal LBT is waaay outside my price range.
beta08
Yup, that's the one. And yes LBT gear really is pretty pricey. Totally worth it though.
Carter
Well I may have just come across a little extra cash so who knows! Thanks beta08, LOVE your loadouts by the way.

Carter
@Kojak: A little late but is that the 1961g replica from ebairsoft? If so, how's the quality?
