Sleepy_UK
Nice bit if kit jim, I saw one of them eBay a while back but it was only a trial run. I've been looking at TAG's range of chest rigs and wondered if anyone has had experience with them?.... How do they fair up?

I've been looking at TAG's range of chest rigs and wondered if anyone has had experience with them?.... How do they fair up? TAG = awesome, had a lot of there chest rigs,PC's, vests and kit, never let me down, always top workmanship, prices have come down alot over the last year or so, and alot of there stuff is made of 500d cordura now, saving a bit of weight/bulk and it seems, cost . RIXX
That's the 762 tactical chicom? Looks much bigger with the pouches added to it! But I like it very much
Agent Hunk
Yeah, its a pretty awesome rig though. Works with M4 mags much better than I thought it would. Didn't even need to add any padding or fabric to push them up high enough. And the pouches I added certainly make it seem bigger since I got them on only two rows of PALS. TheFull9
Did HSGI update their TACOs, or is someone else making a similar design?
colwombat
Chinaman clone. Though they did update the design a bit on the pistol TACOs.

housemartins
my absolutely low profile MAV Surely it'd be a lot lower profile without the x-harness?
Pantheus
TMC TCOs from china TMC TCOs has only one "attachment strap" (don't know the right name for it) at the back. Does HSGI version have two? IMO TMC pouches wobbles a lot. Does some one have a solution to keep them firmly on their place? Or am I only who don't understand how they are supposed to be attached with one strap? TheFull9
The malice clips? http://www.tacticaltailor.com/maliceclip.aspx Yeah the HSGI pouches come with two. Regards the wobbling, are you weaving the clip between your rig and the pouch itself when you attach it? Just slotting it through the MOLLE on your gear would likely cause some loose fitment issues. If you're unsure, watch this: That's for a normal pouch with the standard style cordura straps admittedly, but the same principle applies with any method of attaching pouches to molle, whether you're using malice, Blackhawk speed clips, or anything else. skaos
Surely it'd be a lot lower profile without the x-harness? yeah you're right, but I'd rather stick to the x-harness, it's very comfy

Its just an issue with the clone ones. My HSGI TACOs are so secure, they might as well be glued to my rig.
validtumoralarm
My Eagle rig: I used to really dislike the closed top pouches but I've come to realize that they take up less space than stacked shingles. The shingle on the left is going to be replaced by a TACO so that I can run this rig with 7 AR mags or 5 AK mags. The double pistol pouch will probably be moved to my belt. I also have a Pantac 1961a lying around that I'm beginning to like less and less. Pouchwise and bulk-wise it just really doesn't do it for me.
ericfine50
Very nice Eagle rig. Do you run anything for hydration?
validtumoralarm
Yeah, I have a Camelbak MULE that I'll usually wear. I'm trying to figure out an easy way to convert the rig to an H-harness with buckles so I can integrate something, but the pack works for now, even though it's a cluttered setup. I actually have a small nalgene crammed in the right side GP for when I don't feel like wearing the pack. Here's a pouch list if anyone cares: 2x ATS horizontal GP's in coyote brown 1x HSGI small radio pouch (might change for a TT one with bungee) 1x ATS shingle 1x HSGI double pistol 1x Maxpedition? cell phone pouch I found lying on the floor somewhere

Pouchwise and bulk-wise it just really doesn't do it for me. I can see why. The rig you have now is functional and cool looking. The 1961A is just cool looking.
