yeah i know, its surprising!

well dboys have HK marked M4 mags... are they not the same?

No. The old Dboys '416' mags are just standard m4 mags with '416' trades.

The new one included with the DBOYs HK416 is a proper HK416 mag - the magazine is curved, not dogleg'd, made of what seems to be steel and has pressed, not printed, trades. It is also without a winding wheel - you wind it with a small hex key, which is actually very fast.

ah i see :) i like the dog legged style ones but pressed trades would be nice....

it has no wheel? so when it runs out of tension you have to stop mid battle and get a hex key out?

It winds in seconds, fully in the safe zone. I'm not joking. I just loaded and fully wound it in about 20 seconds - 15 seconds getting the bbs in, and 5 seconds to get it fully wound.

Oh, Camera is being kinder to me today, so woo:

CQB style - I intend to get an EoTech to replace that Comp4 for CQB.

Woodland style - SCAR QD suppressor en route for it.

Closeup on the barrel extension. It's easy to put on and solid as hell.

Flip up front sight for the 14.5" barrel configuration. Locks in place like a charm.

Rear drum sight.

Proper HK416 mag that comes with it - notice there's no dogleg.

And some arty shots to finish up. :D

Anyone from the US buy from Gunner's before? How exactly do they cover the trades? Is it that putty that eHobby uses that you can etch off with your finger or do they really ruin the trades?

I would like to know the answer to this question too.

I have a VFC 416, this looks like it would make an excellent back up gun.

How is the performance? FPS? RPS?

I have never owned a D-Boys

I been wanting to know for awhile. I sent them an email but all they reported back (in broken english) is "we remove the trades." Nothing more specific than that. And on a metal bodied gun I cant imagine how they "permanently" remove the trades or that they even do, as that would be real true damage to the receiver to do so.

The trades, as far as I can tell, are laser-engraved, so at the very worst, you could strip the paint from the receiver, repaint it and stencil the trades in yourself. Assuming of course they just paint over the trades. I'll see what I can dig up.

BTW, inner barrel is 6.08mm. Brass, decent crown. Hop-up unit is a bit wank, would recommend replacing.

To those in the US interested:

Got my email back from gunner's, they will not ship to the US with intact trades and they remove them by dremilling them off. So... yeah that means they probably wont sell many of these to US customers...

Ehobbyasia has them on stock too

Where? I can't find them on there.

Yeah if anyone finds someone that does PLEASE tell us poor Americans :P

EDIT

I sent them an Email so hopefully they either a) ship with no alterations or B) just us putty (which has always worked with me and most oversea's buyers in the past).
