Robinio
Does anyone know if I can take a kjw M1911A1 and put it in a metal body for a marui M1911A1?
RacingManiac
I think it should work. Its supposed to be Marui compatible. Some tolerance might be off and might need some fitting, mind you most metal kits for OEM needs some fitting anyway. I'd add though, if you are willing to go as far as getting a metal kit(especially if one of the more expensive ones), it might be worthwhile to get a stock Marui as a base. Considering at that point the cost difference between a KJ and TM doesn't matter as much anymore...(unless you have a KJ already) Edited May 17, 2009 by RacingManiac
Shardik
As he said, its best to play it safe and use a Mauri as the base.

Concr3te
I'm wondering if this Chinese metal body will fit a Marui 1911. That would be a good deal; a metal body and nice TM internals
beretta
yup, thats TM compatible,
Robinio
But can TM take powerful gases? (Stock wise?)
Gerkahn
1911's will take green gas without any problem, this is from my experiences, 3 1911's without metal bodies etc, my detonics/meu is running on green without any problem
Robinio
Ok, I've hear some Plastic GBB's will need to upgrade since they're plastic.
RacingManiac
that parts that'll likely break early(nozzle) had nothing to do with the fact that it has plastic slide/barrel...
Robinio
Ok, Guess I'm going after the marui one, looks like the KJW is a clone of WA, can anyone confrim that?
airsofter0866
Im pretty sure KJW is a Marui clone.
s85sss
i see someone have it, so i would like to know if the surefire 310r will fit WA or Marui 1911's just straight or which mods are needed. Edited May 18, 2009 by s85sss
RacingManiac
Ok, Guess I'm going after the marui one, looks like the KJW is a clone of WA, can anyone confrim that? FYI, KJW Gen 1 from a long time ago was a clone of the WA 1911, much like their old Para. They launched the new version ~2007 which is a clone of TM. I think the only one they make now is the gen 2....
Robinio
Ok... Otherwise I can just order marui parts and build a complete gun from scratch... but that costs
1st_shooter
thank you army! now the only difference i can really see between this and my upgraded TM is the extra £200 in my wallet! 350fps not bad at all for once i didnt get an ACM lemon. "aitch" may not agree on the grips but i like them
leejinwen
does the right safety work in your meu?
1st_shooter
yeah no problem. its a sweeet gun
chas
My Army's safety wouldnt work from the right and was a bit weird on the left. Seems common. 4 Little questions for Marui/Army MEU & Detonics owners: 1) Will the MEU trigger work on the Detonics? And viceversa? 2) Will the MEU hammer work on the Detonics? And viceversa? 3) Can I cut down 1911 full-size grips and drill a new lower hole to fit on a Detonics? 4) Will a PDI (or other brand) silencer adapter for Marui 1911 work on a Detonics? If the answer to all those questions is yes, Ive got an awesome little proyect coming up! THANKS!!!
beretta
the safety on my Army armaments was wobbly on the right side, all i had to do to fix it was pop it out, put some thread lock on the joining pin and stick it back in. after 5 mins the threadlock hardens and the safety now snaps in nicely on both sides.
