Isamu
Hi guys, I will soon be in the Market for a Kimber Warrior style pistol, and was wondering if you could answer a few questions -I've heard good and bad things about the ARMY Kimber warrior, including slight rattle on the slide. Can this be sorted with a stronger recoil spring? -Would I be better off buying a TM MEU, and an ARMY Kimber, and then swapping all the parts across into the ARMY frame? - I've also seen the WE/ SOCOM GEAR Wilson Combat, how are these? I've read a review on Militaryphotos, but it wasnt all that great (Seemed like a strange place to find a review) Im quite the noob when it comes to gas pistols, so I've been trying to read up as much as I can before I make the jump Thanks guys Army Kimber already features a stronger recoil spring, rattle isnt that bad though. Kimber + meu... well, depends on your budget, buy the kimber first, and if you like how it performs, I dont think you will need a meu for parts, but if you want to improve the kimber after testing it, getting TM parts would be a good idea. Me myself am waiting for KJW to ship some spares so I can put them in the kimber slide to fit it in a KJW 1911 CO2, love both pistols so much I want them to make something unique and personal

judgeman
TM 1911A1 Guarder Springfield MBK Springfield grips off my real steel Loaded Springfield Upgraded recoil and hammer springs I am attempting to replicate the GI .45 bare bones model. Aside from the grips I think its a match. I need to locate a extended slide release however, which is proving a bit...difficult. I'm just looking for a reliable railed desert 1911; it doesn't have to be a perfect replica of anything. Ed hardy makes this thread great
Ledpocket
Kimber RCP built from a WA officer... Kimber Ultra Carry with homemade rcp grip...again, built from WA
RacingManiac
epic win...
Ledpocket
If you mean me, thanks. But 2 seconds after I posted the pics, I was on boomarms and saw the new rcp kit for $650. About $400 less than the kit I bought a year and a half ago, and appears to only be missing the grips.
mrk
My twins TM 1911 with NOVA Vickers kit and SF 610R weaponlight. TM 1911 MEU with PGC Kimber kit still need to change the sights on this thing.
TeowneD
That SFA is my dream 1911 setup!!!!!! BTW- did you modify your 610r slide stop so the slide locks back after its last shot?
mrk
Thanks! I tried using modified one at first but once you fasten that 610R the slide stop will barely move since it's 1-piece. So I made a two piece slide stop using two slide stops. Like this.
suoires
wow, absolutely beautiful mrk. Makes me want another 1911
MODDAN
Now that is an absolutely awe inspiring Kimber L.A.P.D. Makes me wanna get a Marui MEU and a kit of my own! By the way, where did you buy your 610R? I've been looking for one for ages for my own WA Kimber L.A.P.D.
farfromahero
After seeing those 1911s i regret getting rid of mine.
mrk
Thanks guys! MODDAN: I got lucky and managed to buy three 610R's in total all with Safariland holsters. I kept one and sold the other two earlier this year. I found mine on gunbroker.com, lightfighter forum and specwargear.com sale board. They do pop up time to time on ebay but they usually go +$500USD
-=OGGY=-
mrk, which kit do you like more, the PGC or the NOVA? (fit & finish wise) How much work was required to fit the 610r? Also any chance for some more photos? -OGGY
Eizen
Does anyone have experience with KJW's M1911A1s? Do KJWs accept magazines from other manufacturers? How about slides etc?
RacingManiac
KJW should be TM compatible, magazine should be at least. Mixing brand parts will probably have the same issues as always, in theory they should work but in practice it might need some troubleshooting....
ryangolfvr6
im looking at some viz grips for my 1911 meu but carnt decide which ones any help http://vzgrips.com/gun-grips/1911-pistol-grips-
trdsupragt
While VZ Grips are pricey, they're wonderfully made. I've got a set of the Recon G10 grips, which are basically recreations of the original Gunner grips. I also like the way the 320s and Gator Backs look as well.
Isamu
I have a KJW 1911 (CO2 ver) and I can fit tm compatible mags (Army), but some internal parts are a bit different to other TM compatible parts, nothing a bit of filing cant solve though
alston251
Do VZ grips still make those Recons without a thumb recess? I just went on their website but they don't seem to give a no thumb recess option
trdsupragt
I noticed that as well. But I think you might be able to call in and ask for the grips without the thumb recess. But it would be considered "custom" and you wouldn't be able to get a return policy on it.
