1911 Picture Thread

Was it easy to instal? I find they jam on my nova kits and I resort to steel barrels and chambers that rattle a bit. How do you fit them without jamming? File the bit that interacts with the hop housing on the right side? Or file the lugs in the slide?

Well the Nova Raptor was the first "new style" kit ( the ones with the advanced frame and fake firing pin stetup) I got.
It's was pretty smooth when I finished but I usually round the edges of the barrel lugs, from my experience the slides are become smoother .

The Raptor was fairly good, so does the S70  but both SAI's (commander and 5inch ) required some filling here ans there, nothing hard but you had to pay attention here and there.

The silver I got last summer is the worst.. i haven't fixed it yet to be honest!

Thank you, hitmanNo2 and wolfgeorge. Added a clipdraw to my GCNM. I really like the look (it's only for cosmetic purpose and to add some weight to the gun). :D

While I'll never have the money again to build an high end 1911, here's a mock up of my current build of my Colt 38 super.

Real EGW Gold Cup trigger required a boat load of fitting .

I've tried and have had no luck. I also would like to use the TM/KJW format as I've such a ready supply of parts and magazines and I shoot these things a lot (thankfully I have a large back yard that is backed by heavily wooded, non-buildable lot which makes this possible), so I need something that can take the pounding.

Loving the Commander. I mean I love them all, but that Commander is what I've been waiting years for. I'm super envious as I've not been able to find a kit anywhere and is in the top 5 of my favorite pistols.

Commander kit should be due for release shortly, but initial batch will be steel-slide version only.

Aluminium kit will follow later...
