Not entirely sure if i catch what you are going to do, order a detonics slide and use a 1911's internals? because the blowbak units are entirely different, that does look gorgeous though, i might have to build one

If your gonna build one specifically for this look I would shorten the frame to match the start of the slide scallop.

Ahh, i see.

I just assumed they'd be the same and didnt bother looking. it would be nice to get a metal slide on it anyway so i might buy one and another cheapo detonics. :)

I'm thinking Bulldog after the roughly similar one Auto Ordnance do but that is an Officers slide on a Government frame.

Actually Bulldog is quite good, short nose and body (barrel) with long legs (frame).

'FireKnife'

Yeaaaaaaaah! That P228 rocks … hey man, is this the Tanaka Stainless version or did you make up a Metal kit for P228, that doesn't cost a fortune? Or did you have a fortune to spend it on this piece? :D

Maybe he polished it himself, or knows an electro plater?

Im kind of glad ive got a tercel 1911 on the way now, they seem to be quite respectable, mainly the depth of the trademarks etc.
