1911 Picture Thread

Not sure if ive posted this already, if I have I apologies. My TM MEU based Springfield Armoury TRP (Guarder chrome kit).

This was a pain in the preverbials to fit and I wont be buying another Guarder kit in a hurry I can tell you :angry:

My custom built 'Punisher' 1911.

Parts used to build this were:

 

TM 1911a1 base gun.

TSC extended magwell.

Nineball extended slide lock.

TM MEU 'Kings' type ambi-safety.

TM MEU grip safety.

Freedom Art rear sight (fore sight custom made).

Guarder trigger.

SPD extended guide rod.

TM Hi-capa 5.1 guide rod plug.

TM 4.3 Hi-capa hammer (polished).

Nineball hop rubber.

TM Hi-capa 5.1 and MEU Night Warrior outer barrels (custom joined).

TM VSR inner barrel (Cut to size).

Custom made grips (using TM 1911a1 grips sanded down and sprayed).

Compensator custom made from another TM 1911a1 slide (cut to size).

Don't know the best place for this pic. But hey, there's two 1911s in it. I have a thing for silver guns in case you can't tell :P

Indeed it is Matt. I had a pair of them a few years ago but I would never dual wield them in a skirmish so I couldn't justify two of them :(

Now that's what I call a very nice selection 'hitmanNo2' B) You certainly do have a thing for 'bling'.

All WA's apart from the DE?

What frame is that for the LDC Baer?

 

Its a total custom build 'RacingManiac'.

Made from a TM MEU frame and a front dust cover from a spare TM Desert Warrior I had lying around. I pinned and glued the two sections together, filled the chin cuts on the standard TM 5.1 slide and cut forward serrations aswell. So far after 6 months of infrequent use (so many pistols and not enough time to use them) its still rocking!

Ive now built five Les Baer's. Premier II, Thunder Ranch Special, The Boss, Custom Carry and now the Monolith.
