Schultz98
my new slr106ur with pbs1 and kobra for cqb and my kalash aks74 which is my backup to my svd when playing woodland.(for w/e reason the wood looks really bad compared to what it looks like in person) Edited December 29, 2009 by Schultz98
Blackweell!
I've joined the dark side: Kalash AK74su with ebaybanned PBS-1 and rubber butt-pad. Took long enough to get here mind All it needs is an extended inner barrel as the bb's are hitting the silencer as they come out. Edited December 30, 2009 by Blackweell! knivezs
@blackweell thats an incorrect silencer for that gun. you should get a pbs4
Blackweell!
@blackweell thats an incorrect silencer for that gun. you should get a pbs4 I wasn't going for anything in particular, but it was the mere price difference between buying a PBS-1 and PBS-4 that swung it for me...I'm not going to be shelling out $100+ for a VFC PBS-4! Schultz98
thats really unfortunate the bb's are hitting the inside of the silencer. I had really good luck and mine are not, it actually really muffles the sound of the aeg so it will work great as a secondary to my svd or cqb operations

I might just use a drill to widen the exit hole of it, as muffles the sound brilliantly. It's got quite a loud "cack" when firing normally, but this is almost completely gone when installed. Schultz98
yeah thats how mine is, exept since i got the slr106ur and not the aks74u it has a noise enhancer on the end of the barrel so comparing it to with the suppressor its completely night and day.

The Crunchy Bunny
It's got character if nothing else! Yeah, definatly. I'm in the process of modding a RS Romy stock to fit so I can actually shoulder it without it bending in half. Edited December 31, 2009 by The Crunchy Bunny

beta08
I received a VFC AKs74u today and the front sight pins are missing, can anyone here recommend a replacement? Pics up in a bit. Thanks!
The Crunchy Bunny
Just go to your local hardware store and pick up some roll pins. Take your front sight along. It's usually a good idea to get two different sizes, since things tend to fit differently once your at home. That's what I do. Every external pin besides the gearbox pin on my M4 came from my local ACE Hardware. Edited January 1, 2010 by The Crunchy Bunny
beta08
Thanks man. Initial impressions of the VFC AKs-74un DXv2: Not nearly as nice as my Real Sword Type 56-1 but still nice. The finish is alright... looks a little, thick? The wood, apart from the wobble on the upper, is EXTREMELY nice quality, and the plum pistol grip is a nice touch. The selector lever isn't nearly as stiff or clicky as I would like it but I think I am spoiled by my Real Sword. Also, there is absolutely no wobble in the stock, folded or unfolded. Bersy
I'm soooo jealous of you MJ! that LCT ak47 looks awesome! would love one but at $700 tho it isnt priced too well compared to the other LCT ak's... thinking of picking up a LCT RPK myself hopefully!
mightyjebus
I have been toying with getting the LCT RPK as well BTW gunners have the LCT AK 47 conversion kit for 580 bucks (£360) right now.
my_plague_666
mmmmm, type 3 AK47. always did think the inokatsu was the only AK47 worth having (aesthetically), i'd been wondering how long it would take LCT to bring it back from the dead.
