ComradeMP1
Yes, do it now.
knivezs
Picked this up for $50 I THINK it's Dboys, and since I'm missing a bolt, I'll probably do a GBBR drop in conversion nope, it looks like cyma rebrand/ Kalashnikov logo on the gun
aznriptide859
^Yea, found that out - the GB has a CM02 on it Hopefully the GBBR drop in will still work.
knivezs
^Yea, found that out - the GB has a CM02 on it Hopefully the GBBR drop in will still work. afaik you need to do some modification for the gbbr kit to work properly or probably it will notwork at all ?...hahaha cyma aksu is similar with TM design Edited January 22, 2010 by knivezs
DFM56
unless it's the newer one model that's more VFC than anything. All of my "VFC clones" have had a cm.02 gearbox. easiest way to check is if it has screws showing on the bottom of the receiver, which would make it a marui clone. PlasticMag
It won't work. Sorry. It uses the Marui style receiver, it needs a VFC style receiver.
aznriptide859
What's the difference? It seems that there are locations that the trigger/hammer pins should go have pieces that you can punch out.
PlasticMag
Not just that. The actual structure of the receiver is designed differently, including how the barrel attaches. Trust me when I say that it cannot work without modification - I compared the kit to a King Arms AK47 receiver (which uses an identical style of construction) in hopes of adapting it for a Type3 AK47 build. It will not work.
Schultz98
This is my ak with the new vfc wood and refinished magazines heres a pic of my other ak and dragunov. Schultz98
someone probably knows if it will take it just on what model it is and if it isn't you still got it for 50$ and its still a skirmishable AEG Edited January 23, 2010 by Schultz98
aznriptide859
^I'm missing the bolt lol. Unless someone here has a spare assembly...
DFM56
If I get pics inside the receiver, could you tell if it's TM or VFC? If you have screws instead on the bottom of the receiver, it's a TM.
Schultz98
^I'm missing the bolt lol. Unless someone here has a spare assembly... the bolt doesnt do anything for an AEG it would still work in a skirmish lol just tape the top cover on or something
aznriptide859
The rod that holds back the upper receiver button isn't there either lol, so there's no definite way that the receiver cover stays on Plus, what's an AK w/o the bolt? XD I took a look at the GBBR conv. kit pictures again - I can get why this receiver won't be able to fit the new trigger mech. Oh well, saves me $
