Horsem4n
i heard of a piston head problem actually. do check it.
wraithxt1
To follow up, my issue was with lubrication. I run all of my GBBs on propane with no silicone in them, period. It needed to be lubed a little to run properly, it runs like a champ now! Skirmished this weekend and ended up with a LOT of kills. Sadly, a piece on the right side fell out and is gone forever. It doesnt look important and was just for show, so I'll be epoxying over it in the next few days.
3vi1-D4n
Pics of the fallen piece?
wraithxt1
The part full out when I was in the middle of a skirmish and is gone forever. It leaves an empty hole in the receiver that I'm not exactly sure how to plug up. Edited July 6, 2009 by wraithxt1
3vi1-D4n
Ah I see, a pin. thx For those not in Japan: Can I confirm that on propane what FPS does it go to? And accuracy wise?
wraithxt1
Accuracy wise its MUCH better than I thought. It's certainly on a par with a stock AEG even on auto. The FPS on green is about 335 +- 5 FPS at 80 degrees F here in Hawaii. Just a bit too hot to be using in Japan sadly. Edited July 9, 2009 by wraithxt1
3vi1-D4n
Damn was hoping to be over 350fps. Significant bush penetration ability if it did, so I can use it for a commander's weapon, but looks like I will just stick with the P90 till the MP7 comes out.
wraithxt1
Come to think of it, I think I was using .25s or 3s that day, I just unpacked today and I have no .2s in my bag whatsoever. I'll get you another chrono reading this weekend!
3vi1-D4n
LOL. Yeah tell me how it goes
3vi1-D4n
Any Chrono results?
wraithxt1
I was at 315 on the dot when I chrono'd. The hop was set for .3s so they went stright into the sky. Without the hop on stupidly hight I think 325 is about what youll get. Not sure what BBs I was using last time to cause it to chrono that high. The bolt catch has also ceased to function sadly. I'm going to look into whats caused it to stop working
camotyger
So how well does this thing hold up to green gas? Show any signs of breaking like the old model?
wraithxt1
So far not so much breaking. The bolt stop doesnt work and I lost that little piece from the right side. besides that it's holding up well. I'm not happy with how damned complicated the breakdown is. Besides that its a really great weaspon
Voodoo1
no breakage on mine - given the major problem with the old was the receiver cracking and they've put foam padding in now it's unlikely to be an issue. I've found the bolt stop on mine depends which magazine I have in, but I've not had chance to see what the difference appears to be...
Vercingetorix
Any chance of an update over time from you guys? How are they holding up now? Bolt catch, etc on green? Also, I've heard tell of a suppressor for it... Can anyone shed any light on this? I think I might be getting one of these soon, as I actually have a CQB place to use it at now.... wraithxt1
So far I'm at about the same. Bolt no longer locks back, everything else works just fine.
Discpl3
may have to pick one of these up, i've always wanted a TMP but never bought one because of how hard it was to find mags.
Mikhailthejackal
Im reeeeeeally tempted to get either a MP9 or the Ksc Mp7, can anyone help me make up my mind on this, which is better/more fun/louder etc?
kruck
Any chance of an update from anyone who has had this a while? How's it holding up? Any notable problems? Cheers
wraithxt1
No problems here. Bolt catch doesnt work at all and I'm scared to take it apart. I havent found a picture guide on how to break it down and it's sure as hell not intuitive. I'd say the MP9 is more fun than the 7. It has recoil as opposed to vibration, which is one thing I really like about.
Connery
More than likely, your bolt catch wore down. Same thing happened to mine.
PlasticMag
It should break down identical to a TMP, I believe the website review section has a takedown guide. Ordered on on Friday, should ship today and arrive soonish.
3vi1-D4n
I owned an SPP (non hardkick - NPS type) and now an MP7 and the SPP definately has more kick. MP7 is much higher power and more accurate, also noisier than the SPP, and much easier to strip and clean.
PlasticMag
MP7 or MP9?
3vi1-D4n
MP7 for a Woodland Primary. MP9 for CQB?
