My feeling is they were probably buoyed substantially by contracts during Aussie deployment in Afghan, which allowed them to develop a lot of stuff and take a few more 'risks' and do more runs of smal

For a while I was getting worried there was nobody else at all left who wasn't exclusively doing SF impressions. Really sweet loadout mate.

Got any footage from that gopro? Be interested to see what it looks like since I've got the exact same helmet as you. Does it weigh the front down a lot? Much slipping/bouncing around as you run?

The helmet is almost rock-solid on my head. The meshmask is connected to the ARC-rails, so I removed the headstraps. (only the neck-piece of the H-harness is left in place).

The gopro itself does give the helmet a front-heavy feeling, but I have the MS2000 with batteries, and some kind of counterweight-bag. (but inside is a lipo and fan to add airflow in the goggles)

(as seen on this pic: http://users.telenet.be/blarock86/helm2.JPG )

And the movie from that day:

Nice set-up blarock!

Just a quick one, was the Go Pro on the widest field of view setting? It seems theres a bit more fisheye effect than when I used mine on a medium field of view at 1080p.

CK, I have the same TMC AirFrame and also mount the GoPro2 off the NVG mount, when the straps are adjusted properly it is a bit front heavy but doesn't slide forward. I only have a V-lite and callsign patch on the back of my lid as well.

Updated my 1st and 2nd, sorry for the pleb-tier pictures.

1st:

EMDOMM-MM riggers belt

HSGI Suregrip belt

Esstac KYWI double M4 pouch X2

First Spear open-top 1911 pouch

Pantac drop pouch

BHI Serpa

The suregrip belt is a work of art. Never moves, doesn't jiggle, very comfy even fully loaded. Cool thing about this belt setup is I can run it standalone or with a PC effectively.

Thats taking a low profile PC and making very bulky, I'd swap out some of that stuff for some BFG ten speed pouches if you vary your load that much.

Maybe swap out one of those mags for a speed loader to cut back on having to carry so many. I've gone through many large ops with nothing but two secondary mags, and 5+1 primary mags and one or two 300rd speed loaders and maybe a 1000rd bottle to refill the speed loader. I just know I'm not a support gunner, I don't lay covering fire all the time.

Believe it or not, the whole setup is very tight to my body and not much more bulky than what I was running before. I had 6 mags up top and 4 down the belt and I did have ten speeds but I didn't like them. Another interesting fact is I rarely touch full auto (gun never worked right on it anyway). Thanks for the input and I will probably make some changes soon.

You ever run 6 mags up front? This is just like that, except another two slightly to your left. I'm thinking maybe 3 upfront, 2 to my left, and 2 on the belt for 7+1 and a decently even load. Not really sure.
