squeakyL
Hey guys, Any updates on durability over time? I'm looking to get a GBBR, mostly for collecting with the occasional plinking or dry firing (for fun). The most important issue would be how well it holds on its own with light use. It's obviously the cheapest solution since my needs aren't great, would you guys recommend the AGM for this purpose? Thanks
Frakk2k
Just a quick question; what cheap DE stock fits the AGM? Any tips?
Luis21
Just a quick question; what cheap DE stock fits the AGM? Any tips? DE stock or LE stock? Whatever it is, make sure you get a stock for military-spec buffer tubes. The AGM buffer tube is kinda slim as it is... -Luis
Frakk2k
Hmm, I was thinking of this: http://www.ebairsoft.com/magpul-stock-p-3506.html I noticed some of his other DE stocks does not fit AGM? Or is that just the ones with buffertube included.. ?

However, some AEG stocks did fit but they had alot of wobble. The only way stocks wouldn't fit would be if the AGM buffer tube was commercial-spec, which it is not since it's too skinny. -Luis

GhostWolf
OK after reading through all 111 pages of this thread i'm a bit confused. I have just bought an AGM M4 and man this is solid as a rock, but i'm confused on which RA Tech upgrades to fit "there site is very confusing also", which mags to use and which gas to use. Now the info I will need is for a 350 fps UK site. So! Can someone who knows for sure just list for me please the following. 1. Best mags to buy for the AGM. 2. Which gas to run them on, which keep's me under 350 fps. 3. Which RA Tech upgrades to buy and there part numbers would be helpful. 4. What metal receivers can I buy to replace the stock one so I can have one with it's marks on it. 5. What metal RIS would fit as I have the none RIS version, but I see the holes are in place for a floating RIS. I'm a complete noob when it comes to GBB's and I don't want to be wasting money I don't have. This would also I suppose sort out most questions for new UK AGM M4 owners. Many thanks in advance for any answers.

N.P.A.S (I got one, never bothered to install it.. Yet), get a tightbore and a new hopupchamber, replace when the stock stuff breaks down. 4. Dunno; personally I am considering just having it engraved instead, cheaper.. 5.I bought a Daniel Defence Omega RIS for mine, it is rock solid. (From Ebairsoft, but they don't stock it anymore). (6.) Also, I am thinking of adding this : http://www.holsterops.com/rogers-super-stoc (Eliminate stock wobble).

amblin83
Hey guys, Any updates on durability over time? It's obviously the cheapest solution since my needs aren't great, would you guys recommend the AGM for this purpose? Thanks No, i wouldn't recommend AGM for the purpose. Mainly because of the poor build materials. Especially the Hammer and Bolt stop were made of very soft materials (possibly zinc alloy for the hammer and alluminium for the bolt stop), so the hammer can break relatively quickly (after maybe 300 shots) and the bolt stop could wear out under 30 cycles. So it's very possible that you'll end up with a GBB that can NOT hold the bolt open AND can impossible to dry fire because you just broke the hammer.
raito
had mine since 2009, the only parts I've replaced are the boltstop, bcg, and got an ambi fire selector... gone thru more than 10.000 bb's still runs with no problem ... oh yeah, almost forgot... I went thru 2 charging handle... current one still doing fine... Edited March 22, 2012 by raito
