ChewbacaChunx
for all you ranger geardos theres a couple RLCS MBAVs up on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/Eagle-Industries-RLCS-...d#ht_1495wt_941
Titleist
I've been using my MBAV for when I shoot on steel and need to use my plates (BALCS, ESAPIs, and 6x6 plates) and the MBAV is just the heat. Great rig even outside of ranger impressions.
cfg123
So are the MBAV's kosher for a Ranger loadout? What is the difference be tween these and the EPC with C( I know that the epc aren't issued though)
Azulsky
Soft Armor is sewn in for one thing
Titleist
The MBAV isn't used by all regiments, but it's replacing the CIRAS. It's a great rig.
cfg123
Cool. I just might have to get one for my ranger impression I plan on starting. I've got the MICH done and am working on my 2nd line.
Squeezee
G&P makes a functional red laser version. It's quite nice. I have the STAR one, and it is nice too. A note to anyone that buys it though, just be careful of the laser. It doesn't take much to turn it on by accident.
ChewbacaChunx
Hey titleist is there also soft armor sewn into the cummerbund in the MBAV?
Titleist
No. Typically the MBAVs don't have it sewn in.
zarda999
Mine did... I had it in CB but it did have sewn in IIIa armor. -Ryan
Titleist
No. Typically the MBAVs don't have it sewn in. Unless specially ordered or found in surplus it's usually NOT included.
ChewbacaChunx
Unless specially ordered or found in surplus it's usually NOT included. what effect do the side plated have if theres no CB soft armor?
Titleist
In a situation like that you'd usually use 6x6 or 6x8 plates with a soft armor backing on those stand-alone plates. I have a pair of the 6x6 plates with the soft armor on the backside, I'll snap a photo of those sometime this week just for photographic reference, however usually when I wear armor it's only soft with a large esapi on the front for when I shoot steel up close. Thus I haven't had an excuse to rig up the side plates formally.
Speed=
what length 203 do rangers use if they do use M203s?
Titleist
Depends on the time period. Last time I was up at Ft Lewis I saw M203A1s, but it probably depends on the armory. But I'd say the A1 barrel length is probably the most universal these days.
Billy Bob the Sniper
Most of the pictures they have A1's.
themonkeyfromoutbreak
Most of the stuff I am waiting on has arrived. Need to put some foam in the PACA waiting on a strobe to be delivered (postal strike) hydration bladder to be fitted replica peltors to be delivered (postal strike) black mechanix gloves waiting to be delivered (postal strike) a friend has said they will provide some IR cyalumes I am going to be using green alta knee pads rather than black (I think I will get away with it), I wont be swapping out the 3 hole norotos for a 1 hole just yet. Other than what I have already mentioned, what can you suggest? Weapon system will be a Systema M4A1 when funds allow (damn vets bills). nb. excuse the mini camera tripod on the acu pants. tomster
That looks awesome but what kind of paca is that? Is that the eagle low vis soft armor carrier?
christhesecond
What about an MBITR replica and a pouch for it too. Maybe it's there and I'm too blind.
Agent Hunk
Looks like the Low Vis to me. Which is probably one of the worst possible things to wear a rig over.
Jboud18
Who should i be asking for very knowlegable information on gear, weapons for a current ranger loadout? I had a bunch of favorites for a loadout but when my computer got flushed it took everything. I also plan on buying from optactical if that will help. As i can store it in my favorites till january. Pkekyo-Nor
You should be reading this and the former Ranger thread and if you have problems sorting something out, shoot Titleist a PM. As for OpTac... it's a shoddy store, and they don't exactly hold MIL-Issued RLCS gear as of the last time I had a look there...
Jboud18
Yea ive been looking through the old thread. But i want a list of whats accepted and used most commenly. Thats the thing though, i dont need mil issued. I want an impression not to be them. Nothing against people that do buy mil issued.
