PlasticMag
Lemme guess, some sort of AEG project inspired by too much Black Hawk Down. AMIRITE?
BFOUR
Hint: you also need a different barrel
aznriptide859
Isn't it just a 14.5" with M203 cuts, which the M4 comes with?
BFOUR
negative Its a shorter barrel. Not sure the length but its probably 2-3 inches longer than a 733. If you want the right look, But a 733 barrel seems to suffice for most people.
aznriptide859
I was going for an M727 XD.
BFOUR
O well then your right for what you wanted but your hints dont go with it XD
PlasticMag
The M733 has an 11.5," barrel. You want an M16A2 carbine barrel, which is a heavy barrel without the profile cut for the M203 system. *edit - if you're mounting the light. aznriptide859
Haha, had to get you guys to guess XD. To make sure: This has an M4 barrel, right? Going a la Sanderson 'Cept two tone
PlasticMag
Looks like an A2-profile barrel to me (i.e. no cutout for the M203). It's a model 727, in my opinion. *edit - and that's an incorrectly labelled picture, the 727 should have no cutout for the M203. Edited January 2, 2010 by PlasticMag
aznriptide859
Maybe the flashlight mount covers it a bit? It does on mine.
PlasticMag
Maybe.
GrimGram
If you look closely, the flash light mount seems to be a bit wider than the barrel in the end we can see. Seems to me that it's hugging the barrel at the rear end, and floating around it at the front, thus the barrel should be of different diameter at those two points. Maybe. mightyjebus
Spares box M4 CQB. All it needs is a spring for the top of the motor and a few tins of Krylon
Kenworth W900
No, if you look closely the flashlight mount looks larger than the barrel because it is. It uses a diamond style clamp, hence what looks like it could be a barrel step down. Sanderson is using an M725, with an A2 carbine barrel. Seen here in airsoft form: M16A2 Carbine Front Set What you are building is an M727 aznriptide859, with an M4 stepped barrel. Please also note that yours is using M4A1 style handguards currently, to accurately depict an M727, or indeed M725, you're gonna need some M733 round style handguards. (On a side note, please also note that Sanderson's M725 carbine has the old style carbine grips which used the triangular handguard caps.) GrimGram
Looking at this picture, and according to imfdb.com, it seems like Delta uses M727.
Ivan le Fou
Ivan, that looks awesome. I love it with the SCAR-H surpressor. Also, who's that girl in your avatar? Thank you. I use this silencer because of Stickman's guns. They, almost, all have a long flash hider and I find this especially sexy. Concerning the girl... you'll never know!

Someone needs to please explain the diff b/w M733 and M4 handguards lol...it's confusing the heck out of me XD. snip Looking at this picture, and according to imfdb.com, it seems like Delta uses M727. So Busch and Sanderson are using different weapon bases? Mine actually looks more like Busch's now lol.
BFOUR
Yes at that point (in '93) the army was still debating on which carbine design they wanted. Busch's is more to what were used to now. The 733 handguards are smaller in diameter.
aznriptide859
How much smaller?
