Lughnasadhuk
WETTI, any news about this mysterious new hopup? Â I second that. Â If the new hop is available to purchase in a new M4, and has been for a couple of weeks now, then why have they not been made available to people with earlier version M4s as a replacement. Â I think this is the single most important upgrade to me, even above CO2, as the accuracy of the weapon is just substandard. Â I am more annoyed about not having this as I am about buying steel nozzles, weights and mag stop catches that are endorsed and either dont work or should not be used for their intended purpose. Â WETTI - a hop related update would be most appreciated. The only thing better than an update would be a hop related release!!

The gun has only been out for 4 months or so, be glad that a airsoft firm is working hard and fast to improve things.

Wetti told me that they are working hard on testing the CO2 assembly and I'm pretty sure they are doing some testing with the new hopup. All I can say is I saw some things......that I cant really say that WETTI is doing right as we speak that kept me up all night. My mind wouldn't let me sleep I was to excited. I to was impatient about the hopup but guys keep your eyes open because they could be here any day......just be patient. The hop up was the most exciting thing for me lately........until last night. Guys this month and May are going to be BIG months for us thanks to the guys from WE. All our dreams are going to come true. Lets just cut some slack and let the big dogs do their thing. rottenotto
^ May??? Â We are now in April. The parts were promised "in March" then "No later than April". Now May? Â Release a GAS gun to the world in the winter months (not smart) then release the CO2 in summer months (when it isnt needed)..............ehhhhh. Â And all the while, the Tanio Koba powered KJ Works M4A1 is due any day. Â WE needs to get it together or lose it ALL by mid summer. Nobody will care what they release at some point real soon. Â Just my observations. Natives are now more than restless. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
redline
Just shredded my first #122 o-ring. First I didn't realize what was wrong as my gun started acting weird and erratic. The gas splatter from charging handle gave me an indication what was happening. I opened the gun, bolt off and the nozzle was very loose and o-ring shredded to pieces. No wonder it worked bad. Good thing I've got five of them as spare. Hopefully I'll be able to align and tighten it again once I've changed the o-ring. Â I hear you on this one. I didn't realize my #122 was being eaten away, since it slowly became "beveled", but evenly, so I just thought that that was the shape of the o-ring. I stuck in a new valve assembly (without noticing that the O-ring in this one was fresh and square shaped). Â I fell in love with the gun again. Rate of fire was up, kick was strong, less splatter, and was more consistant. A few pages back, I compared it to the WA, and was so impressed with the WA, because I was comparing it to a WE with a faulty 0-ring. I wish I could compare the two side by side now. Eliminator
There's a very good news about the new barell/hop up: As you may know, William ordered them some weeks ago and he received them today. My package was shipped out today(wich inclued the new barell/hop up, 3 mags and some spare parts) Due to Eastern week end, I assume I'll not get it before coming tuesday...I'll post a review as soon as I'll mount the new barell in my gun. For the barell availability, you may contact William directly...
manchovie
William? That's great news however, thanks eliminator. Hopefully the part works well. Something's weirding me out however, that new double o-ring nozzle linked further up the page no longer exists on the airsoft buddy site. did they jump the gun or something?
Eliminator
You're welcome! For the double o'ringed nozzle, I have no idea...I also noticed that the spare parts list(for the in stock parts)dropped from 44 to 40...lol maybe these parts where not so good... The Chef
I have to say I'm just letting the dust settle over this now. Â I'd love the bits to come out, but I am just a bit fed up of chasing them, so I'm going to just wait and see. Â I'm going to try and mod my piston so I can get it down to a reasonable FPS, I'm going to alter my BB weight to try and get the hop somewhere near straight and then its going to be straight in for CQB. Â I'll look at upgrading it when everyone has actually got things in stock and not just talking about 'this stuff's great but I can't tell you!' or 'its coming in March.. oh no... April... make that May!' Â Proof of the pudding is in the eating and all that! Â I know all about product testing and development. The art is to estimate a long time so you don't appear to 'run over time' to your customers, but not too long to make them think you're having a laugh.
LordElpus
Tactical Quartermaster had the 300fps valves in if CQB is where you are heading with it.
Shriven
I think his issue was that for woodland gaming, the accuracy is too poor with the original hop to be of any use.

So the new hop/barrels will be available for separate purchase within 2 weeks (max). Or some advance samples may have show up already....  WETTI Edited April 7, 2009 by WETTI

redline
Just found this on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuLNKwAPXsY   nice find! I guess that means the double O-ring one posted yesterday is already outdated!
rottenotto
Just found this on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuLNKwAPXsY   Adding a second o-ring was/is a popular mod on the SHOEI Escort systems.  It helps maintain consistent FPS in full auto.  The escort system (or the WE modifed escort system) is powerful in semi - but FPS drops considerably in full auto.  Cutting in a second o-ring helps to correct this.
lukvdh
nice find! I guess that means the double O-ring one posted yesterday is already outdated! Â Â The double o-ringed nozzle has already disappeared from the AB-shop yesterday. It was only there for one day... Â I really hope "they" will get their act together. I will receive items today which I ordered one week ago. Seems many things I ordered are alreay outdated. Â Â
somegirls
Guess I'm with The Chef. Â I will not buy any (more) new and magic parts until they had been tried and trusted by users here. There had just been too much usless stuff showen up that caused nothing but empty pockets so far. Â Â
wraithxt1
More guncam video footage of this weekend! Â Â I have a dboys 3 in 1 M203 using co2 nades in it. total of 11 magazines. I love my GBB!
Lupus78
Probably bent from trying to shut the reciever with the selector in full auto. That's what I speculated. Most likely even. But it seems that this had not that big impact in my trigger mechanism operation. It still acts weird whatever I do. Seemed that it helped, but after a while it did not. In semi-auto my gun fires double-shots once a while and in full-auto it doesn't want to stop firing at all even if I release the trigger. Â Just ordered a new trigger unit (from William/AB), which hopefully is on par with the current sold guns. My Gen1 seems a bit flawed...
