Hehehe, Im with you Hwagan. I dumped my LM4 like a bad habit a few months ago and switched back to the WE platform. Used the extra money to get myself a trademarked M16, slapped a RS A2 upper receiver

Now, back to the point of discussion.... I just came back from a friend's (3rd party manufacturer) workshop witnessing 1st hand the prototype conversion of our AWSS system into accommodating the regular AEG barrels & hop up. I hope this is of some interest to you all... ^_^ I was surely amazed....

Well that's the news of the day for me !

I think (if I'm getting you, Ott.) he means a nozzle with some sort of spring to compress it when loading. Not sure how/if it would would myself, though. Fancypants illustrations, please. :D

I don't really see a way to get a modern GBB pistol loading nozzle without completely redesigning the hop up/feeding unit area and modifying the magazine.

Ugh,....

No,....Im not saying mate a "pistol part" with the WE!

I linked to the NAME "loading muzzle" to illustrate that it is indeed what this part ("nozzle") is actually called in any gas blowback design.

THANK YOU CHRIS for understanding what I meant. ("buffer the nozzle tip with a spring" - why not?? Western Arms does it already)

I spent 9 years of of my life giving quality thought to this problem in GBB design if you include my old SHOEIS - the loading system knocking the bb too far down the breech.

The >only< reason I stay with the WE platform is because they smartly put the nozzle at the end of a long rod - the delayed loading. If you owned older escort guns this "next advance" in design is like "inventing the wheel" its so big.

The gun is 95% there.

It just needs to 'cross pollinate' a few other existing GBB tweaks and designs and it will be the first skirmishable >full size< GBB rifle.

Otto is right guys. I've owned FOUR Escort powered weapons over the past 5 years and all of them had the same three issues. Accuracy, bb's rolling out, and the hop sending them to the sky. Not to mention the constant reliability issues.

It wasnt an issue with one, it was an issue with the entire system. I can vouch for the massive, massive advance the one part is for the system.

I still preffer external gas, but I doubt that will ever happen on this system so I'll cross my fingers that the CO2 mags/gun will get rid of some of the venting and cooldown issues.

About the CO2 version:

I see it is available.

Can someone ("WETTI" prefered ;) ) tell what we need to adapt our rifle. Where 'we' is: owners of older generation of WE M4 Gbb.

What internal parts need to be replaced? Are the new parts available yet? Will AB sell them? Will the other 'worldwide representatives' have the parts 'soon'?

How much BBs can be fired per CO2 cartridge?

And: Anyone has this CO2 already? First impression? Pros and cons?

Thanks in advance!

^ I second this question. I have had a pre-order into Horizon Tactical for 10 days, and they haven't even changed the status from Pre-Order, let alone shipped, or called it "available"

EDIT: Yes, I know the "official" release date was the 29th/30th :)

Gotta issue a warning against using Blaster Devil.28 BBs. My new WE M4 kept shredding them for some reason, then jamming as the nozzle couldn't clear jammed BB fragments from the Hop.

Didn't have the prob with Excel Xtreme .28, so I guess the Devils are no good for the WE...

I pre-ordered a bunch of them from Horizon as soon as it became available to pre-order (how long ago was that? 2-months ago?). I hope I'll get them soon. Its frustrating...

Question: So if they are officialy "released" already? How come no one has one yet?

P.S....same question that numerous people have asked, numerous times...

How are we supposed to use the C02 magazines, when they don't sell the necessary internal parts to use them? Kinda like selling people cars without the wheel, no?

Can AB, WETTI or Horizon Tactical answer this for us please? Thanks!

Midma: I talked with a friend which is a long time shooter, and he said full auto selectors should be forbidden here, as it changes weapon category (I think from 4th category to 1st?).

BTW can't wait for the "soon-to-be-announced" very exciting news ^_^

By "selector" you should mean sear...

From what I've been told by WETTI, all that is needed for the conversion to CO2 is a revised part #111/112 and the new locking loading nozzle which is currently not available due to the fact that they are currently having trouble meeting demand for the CO2 rifles. Hence, no spares...

I don't see why you couldn't just use the CO2 mags in the mean time. As far as I know, the "conversion" just makes more efficient use of the CO2 mags.
