WE Gas Blow Back M4A1 Carbine

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me how to remove the black assembley so i can fit the NPAS kit. All the tutorials are for SCARs and i don't have a clue how to remove the peice as it appears stuck fast. It's the bit that the valve and its pipe go into that is secured into the bolt carrier with a big screw at the back. Cheers.

This website should point you in the right direction dude: http://wem4guide.wikidot.com/

Can it finally be? Can we actually expect a "open bolt"-system to our M4's this year?

Can't *fruitcage* understand why they keep showing all their existing customers the finger :/

Give proper hopup now! ;P

Not sure if it has been addressed before but will the new bolt system be compatible with the 'closed' bolt magazines? Wow, if this proves to be as reliable as the G39 bolt system seems to be, I might be able to finally reliably use my WE M4 for skirmishing...

Conversion kits for the original mags were made available a long time ago, in order to fit "open bolt" PDWs. It's about time they threw their original GBBR customers a break.

I completely agree with you, but you have to look at this from a company's point of view.

How many people will buy such a conversion kit?

What if everyone had one?

Then what?

WE keeps producing open bolts anyway so no need to keep on manufactoring them.

WE won't make as much of a profit of selling converion kits as they would by just producing open bolt platforms.

From a manufacturing and business standpoint you can tell just how many kits to produce which at limit is however many old system M4's they made. No sense making more kits than they made guns. 2nd, it's not much of a loss for them to overproduce the kits compared to demand because they can always use the excess kits and make them into complete weapons.

What I've been reading a lot of is having to pull back on the charging handle to make the gun fire (by resetting the sticky valve disconnector) as otherwise they only get a 'click'. Just checked again, there's only about 1cm free movement of the BCG before it starts to push back on the hammer, at which point it would be impossible for the hammer to depress the valve.

edit:

maybe a vid of your malfunction could be more helpful
