WE Gas Blow Back M4A1 Carbine

Recommended Posts

I'd order one Magpul Receiver Set, and fits very well with the internals. But it need to work itself, with nearly 150 shots. There are 2 pins that are pretty hard to insert: the FA and BC nes. I had to rework my RS CH a bit, but that's all. Even my CAA UPG16 pistol grip fits like a glove!

I'll post pics a bit later.

The time betwin shipping and retrival of the package was 3-4 days, from HK to France, pretty good. AB seems to be back to work now, and that's sounds good...

Does anyone own the TSC ambi selector now? If yes does it works well?

(+M16A1+M14 it's Vietnam all over again  ).

My thoughts exactly... Also I would hope that there would be WW2 M1 made of that M14. Even a conversion kit would do nicely. :D

Back on the topic of WE M4... Just installed the NPAS. Is the NPAS usually a tighter fit into the brass tube than the official WE nozzle? (I've got the CO2-type "locking" nozzle.) Mine seems to be tighter and the larger NPAS o-ring seems to get some small wearing damage since it's so tight fit. The gun seems to work fine and there's no additional damage after the first o-ring wearing, but I'm a bit worried of the durability. I also had to cut some the rod so that it wouldn't push the adjustment valve too far. At first there was no room for adjustment. Now it seems to work fine. Too bad I don't have chrono just now to do some testing.

Bah... Who cares... I'm switching to KJW anyway... WE can kiss the darkest part of my white little...***... <_<

if only co2-mags mags were available i'd really start looking the KJ way aswell ....

Yeah, that's a small minus for me too (since we can't buy cheap propane here in Finland and CO2 capsules are a lot cheaper alternative), but what I've heard about how well KJW operates even in cold weather, I can't say I'll miss the CO2 mags. KJW gas mags are said to be the most problem free in any GBBR. Just in comparison, an hour ago one of my standard WE gas mags started to leak again, after some testing with my NPAS. I just hate those WE mags...

And it seems that CO2 just speeds up the WE's inherent "self-destruction mechanism". It's like asking for an a55-kicking to use CO2.

I'm also kinda tired of screwing the damned capsule covers (either with fingers freezing or fumbling with gloves)... And not knowing which magazine had how much CO2 left in it. Topping off mags with a gas bottle at every reload is the preferred way for me. Simple and fast. And I know for sure that if mag has rounds in it, it has also gas.

If it's too cold for KJW (which ain't often), I'll either stay home or use an AEG. ;)

Oh, I've actually never read any cold weather reports related to the KJW. Do you have any urls to share?

I bluntly assumed that propane/gg = propane/gg no matter what system it was used with, but I'm happy to be proven otherwise :)

When it comes to the whole reloading ordeal, I actually quite like the extra momentum due to the fact that I kinda like the extra stress during combat. A magazine shouldn't take 4 seconds to reload ... but then again, I'm a walty little wiener :)

You do have a point with the whole gas status deal. I find my self a bit to cheap from time to time and rather use a bulb that's been used than actually dumping it and insert a new one ... with the result of me ending up with a spent magazine like 10 BB's in. Insanely irritating :P

But, returning to the KJW even if its hugely off topic. When you say "too cold" and seeing you are from Finland; are we talking -10C or below, or more like 0C? :)

Some people have reported they've been able to use it just fine below freezing temperatures (sluggish but reloads ammo and shoots fine), even around -10 degrees Celsius. I live in southern Finland, where typically there's typically around 0-5 degrees minus in winter. Over 9 months of the year are typically on the + side.

But this winter has been exceptional...

I'd suggest starting to read KJW M4 thread here at Arnies. ;)

I've usually never reloaded DURING the games unless they're very long duration. Not a spray-and-pray type of guy. I might switch to pistol when out of ammo with my rifle.

No. The M16 buffer tube is off course very different and it's longer. The buffer spring is the same, the buffer is the same but the spacer is off course bigger.

ah, so there is a spacer inside the m16a3 tube. i wonder what would be the effect if you take out the spacer and put in a longer buffer spring?

So someone people are talking about KJW mags and CO2. You guys know that theres a CO2 nozzle/adaptor in the market right? Knowing that KJW holds up propane/green gas exceptionally well...at -10C, you can try loading up the KJ mags with CO2 instead.

That won't work. Unless you put raw liquid CO2 at a good 800/900PSI directly on the mag, using that adapter and putting CO2 in the mag at lower pressures it wouldn't have to enough co2 to fire more than a couple of shots.

Quick question for you guys that have these. I just got mine from RA-TECH and am completly blown away by how it functions. The question I have and that I assume is, this thing pretty much will only accept real steel parts? I'm looking for an Ambi mag catch (I'm left handed) and new stocks and from what I can tell there's very little to no crossover between AEG and GBB parts.

Thanks guys,

Noob

I got the WE KAC PDW GBB last week and the thing malfuntioned right out of the box!!!! The bolt locks back unexpectedly but more often the bolt locks and all the gas rushes out of the magazine. It does this with the green gas mag AND the CO2 mag and it takes forever to change the CO2. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello !

I bought 4 co2 black mags "For SCAR and M4" on RSOV last week.

But my M4 can't keep the mag and it falls each times.

Do you have any idea to help me ?

Thank

You've got an old M4 which is not CO2 compatible.

Get the CO2 upgrade kit for your M4 and it should work.

At what position is the bolt in when it does that? Is there plenty of resistance when you pull the bolt back? I'm thinking it's similar to how some CO2 nozzles have their tolerances out of whack and gets stuck in the hop chamber (part #117 on the M4), leaving the bolt stuck and the valve wide open.
