WE Gas Blow Back M4A1 Carbine

Recommended Posts

Power down valve would be nice. And so would a steel bolt catch. Hopefully Airsoft Buddy will get both soon.

That mod sounds promising too. Should be simple enough to lower the fps. And if the bearing you use is nonmetallic, there shouldn't be any damage to the brass nozzle.

4boost: Your story sounds very familiar. ;) And just about everyone have reported the mags leaking a little at first, but after some use they stop leaking. Mine for example has held the gas without any leak ever since.

i have talked to the owner of airsoftoutletnw, a local store, who will be supplying WE m4s and they were suppose to get their first shipment in early December but now it will be later, because he said that WE was making some slight changes and putting in steel bolt stops into all there guns.

OK. Does anyone know for sure if the WE M4's being shipped right now from AB and the like (gen 2) have steel bolt stops and steel charging handles, or if they will be released in a gen 3 or new batch starting January?

Hi Folks,

I'd love to hear some more about how winter capable the WE is. I'm talking temperatures around freezing; 0°C, 30-40°F. Does it work reliably after being out in the cold a while? With what kind of gas?

hello, wath grease or oil do you recommend, teflon grease ?silicon oil ? twice ?

Well he gave me some Silicone grease. He also said that you shouldn't fully load the mags with 32 rounds, otherwise you can't load them. You can check if a mag is overloaded by pushing down on the bb's in the feedlip, if they don't move down at all the mags overloaded.

if the mag is overloaded just lock the bolt back befor inserting the mag. use silicon oil, all the other types of lube would be a little to viscous than the ideal.

Hey guys I have to just say that AB has been the best online retailer I have ever dealt with. I just placed an order for a few more spare mags and asked that they include a new bolt catch with it and within 5 min. I received an email confirming that my bolt catch will be included when my order ships out this afternoon. I cant say enough about AB's customer service, he may take a little time to reply to emails some times, but will always make the customer happy with his way of doing business. It's a nice to have a retailer who knows something about customer service.

The one at redwolf looks interesting, but whats this all about:

"The WE M4 has an Empty Firing mode where the bolt will not lock open on an empty magazine"

i thought the bolt locked open when the magazine was empty?

Oh and do you guys know where i could find the Trademarked version that shoots over 400 fps? is that AB version?

There is a switch on the magazine were the bolt will lock open when the man is empty. The other setting is the bolt doesn't lock back allowing the gun to dry firing.

I dont know if this has been answered, but I just noticed the trademarked version (from posts above) is firing at a lower FPS. AB, is this due to a different valve? Or is this a small rubber peice like which WGC was using?
