Ok, so I'm looking to add to my DMR WE M16A3.

 

I already have a nice 4x32 ACOG.

 

What I need is a small, short bipod, perhaps Harris-type?

 

Also, anyone know of an RIS/RAS that will fit an M16A3 nicely?

EDIT:: If there's no rail system, how would I go about shortening the outer barrel length to M4 size, adding a RIS system, and then cover the rest of the inner barrel with a silencer?

Since posting, I've discovered a Laylax rail that bolts to the underside of a normal M4/M16 handgrip.

 

Anyone know if that might fit the WE?

 

Because then I can just use an RIS bipod, and it'd be much simpler.

Pretty sure the stock will NOT fit the WE or any GBB M4. AEGs don't have a full buffer tube.

If you are going to RIS up your M16 you might as well get a tacti-cool sniper stock. I'm still on the hunt for the fake UBR myself.

 

Am I wrong, or does the lowly AirSplat currently have the lowest price in the U.S. for the CO2 mags? I need several more, so I'm willing to go with the lowest bidder.

UBR maybe? It sure won't be as balanced as the "tacti-cool DMR stock". Not as adjustable too.

 

I personally think it looks ugly too. But looks like real comfortable when used. Ur not going to stare at ur scope while shooting anyway.

Small ballistic question: when shooting from my window(at 5-6m from the ground)my BBs start heading the sky after nearly 50-60m. When shooting on the ground will be the trajectory as flat as with a perfectly setted up hop up?

 

Well, 5-6m means you have 5-6m of "probable" winds below your bb trajectory, so any ascendant air will for sure make your bb go up as soon as the ball loses its initial energy and starts relying on the hop-up effect for extra distance.

 

Where the bb should fall (in a no-hop situation), that small hop-up rotation negates the upcomming pressure and accumulates it under the bb (pretty much what plane wings do), so any extra presure (ascending air in that case) will make the bb to go up (until the Hop-up effect slows down and gravity does its job).

 

Not really a hop problem, it's more of a "ball-istic" problem here, taking into consideration the weight of the projectile, the "underball" air pressure, and the energy applied to that projectile (ofc there are many other factors involved, but don't mean to get you bored )

No-one answered on the LaRue RIS;

 

1./ Is a 12" RIS the correct length for an M16A3 to fit without any extra parts?

 

2./ Anyone know of any RIS systems that fit a WE M4? Maybe I can get the same, but in a longer length, for my M16A3.

got the DD MK18 RIS II from EB, fits perfectly.

 

 

But any King Arms will fit as well, and the D'Boys with a little bit of fitting.

How is that supposed to work?

I thnk that'd be like the DEA special someone built. Handguard going all the way over the flashhider. Pretty neat-looking thing, really, except it was also fitted with 9mm conversion, so it wouldn't work with current WEM4.
