Andrew March
Has anyone in the UK got one of these yet and how HOT are they out the box?
SwatMP5man
Errrm , yess looking back over the last few pages you'll see a few of us have them. Mine consistetly chrono's at 450fps on green gas which is why im waiting for t)hums green gas parts to arrive and get it down to 350fps or so. Up until now i've been running it on duster gas that has been firing at 330fps on a cold day.
SwatMP5man
i recently got a BlackHawk bungee sling to go around my WAS Plate carrier but even adjusted to the shortest length, i have to use the sling point on the stock, meaning it hangs down too low. Would t_hum or Raven1 be able to confirm that THIS sling point would fit over the buffer tube and be suitable for the KJW M4.
t_hum
Looks to me like it should work. Best to get a second opinion though. Raven?
Phenom1
Has anyone tried to install a Magpul ASAP sling attachment to the KJW M4? If so, which one did you use? Would the RS ASAP work or would it be too loose on the buffer tube? I'm willing to do some Dremel work on the ASAP for AEG if it will work, but I would rather use the RS or WA version if at all possible.

Buy with confidence, this item will work on the KJW M4,,,

There is a raised angled edge on the receiver plate that centers the outer 'sleeve' of the buffer tube assembly. This is a different configuration from Every Other Platform currently on the market. The single point sling attachments that slip over the buffer tube and tighten / Clamp down around the buffer tube at the rear of the lower receiver work well. and the Daniel Defense http://www.cobratactical.com/Daniel-Defens...unt_p_1062.html seems to work well with the KJW. Then 'tango down' is a great choice as well,,,
wdahm519
A wrap and loop of 550 Cord works pretty well too if people don't want to deal with buying a sling plate. That's what I end up using, because I refuse to spend $40 on a small piece of metal again.
Rookie Ab
I really like a single point sling also. So I figured out a way to to attach a sling swivel. Took about an hour and a half but I got my swivel.

b1indsamurai
So that DD sling mount is just for kicks, eh?
SwatMP5man
Just to confirm Raven1 and t_hum's diagnosis, that sling point WILL mount to the KJW no problems at all. Ordered yesterday, received and fitted today. Edited December 18, 2009 by SwatMP5man
Rookie Ab
The DD sling mount,I have a few more swivels and needed a front point for a 3 point sling I have. Still trying to find something that works for me The UBR is on solid ,but am still waiting for someone to make a proper stock tube for the UBR to KJ. If anyone wants I have a couple photo's of my temporary quick install.I only had to drill and tap one hole,so it's not too tough.
Kai_Wolf
I personally have the DD EZ mount on my KJ's buffer tube and it works just fine.

Maybe add another spacer to lower it down.

And at what temp is that? It should hit somewhere between 400 and 410 with just the black o-ring at 75 degrees.

wotty33
Can anyone recommend a regular issue m4 stock that has less wobble than the shipped kj version?
MrTreble
A few pages back, I remember reading the stock that comes with TM M4s fits tightly. I took some duct tape and have 2 layers inside the stock and it figs snuggly. Since it's internal and not seen I didn't care.

Rookie Ab
Just wondering if anyone out there has a metal bolt that came stock with your KJ. Mine has a plastic one and a new one that I'm looking at has a metal bolt? t_hum ,you seen or heard of one ?
t_hum
Plastic bolt? As in the bolt carrier itself? As far as I know they all have metal bolt carriers.
Kevorkian
I think what he means is a metal piston head...Rookie mistake! I thought you were going to post some pics Greg!!!
t_hum
If you are referring to the piston as Kevorkian suggest then, no, I havent ever seen a plastic one. Ive seen two versions of the metal one but not plastic.
