Stay tuned for mine. In the mean time, you should really see what PanteraTigris did to his KJW!

We want pictures!

Please, no pictures of his KJ...I saw what he did to his m4 yesterday...hahaha...well, the saying "there is no accounting for taste" rings true here...but I don't want to see the others barf...hahahahaha...(Just joking Tiger....a bit)...I also doubt if the weird nuances will come out in the pictures...I may even look photogenic but seeing it in person, ugh...

On more serious matters, I do hope I can takedown my lower this week courtesy of the DIY guides I hope and pray will grace this boards soon, hehehe...cleaning up the triggering system is the last skill set I have to learn before I can truly say that I can maintain my KJ well...

vertical grips cause the bbs to drop down faster defeating the purpose of a houpup. red dots make u go blind, for everyone u hit it takes away a min of vision so it makes u accurate out of fear. T

Yeah man, we pretty much get it. There's no need to post 20 times about how bad your KJW is. Now, can you please go ahead and delete your account?

News Update: We are back to working on our KJW BCGs. I think we should have a production level prototype finished within the next 10 days so keep your eyes peeled. For those who may have missed th

Fadz,

If you want, we can get together this weekend and disassemble our KJWs over some steamed dumplings. I know that Alfie and CJ would also be interested in this.

Oh, I got my other KJ's bolt stop problems fixed... Tightening the buffer tube was all she needed. I'll be turning the newer KJ into a Mk18 mod 1 via parts from my VFC Mk18.

Then I think I shall give my receivers a fine sanding and a spray over of black paint to give it that matte finish.

I used my v2 bolt at the weekend for a few mags and the nozzle has some nicks as if it's been snagging on maybe the bolt lock. Also sometimes when the bolt locks but the nozzle isn't back it's snagged on something as I can't push it back even when the mag is taken out.

The TDC mod makes the hop very consistent but adjustments are very sensitive. More testing needed.

Now that my game is out of the way, I'll get started on this tonight as I have tomorrow off!

@Fadz, that sounds like it could be part of the safety/selector mechanism and an improper seal in the piston/cup or bad gas.

Edit: Pictures are out of the way. Writing and editing the instructions as we speak.

Hey slipknot, finished with your lower receiver takedown guide?

I am eagerly waiting for that and t_hum's planned video on the v2 bolt..

I really appreciate the incredible amount of shared wisdom here on the boards. We have a lot of new kj m4 owners this week and these planned diy guides are indispensible.

Hey friends...i'm sorry i have been unable to give you the guide, i was unable for some health problems i have had this last 2 weeks...but already took the pictures...but only on disassembly...need the assembly ones...as soon as i can i'll be helping you out.

ok guys... this is tragic and thus i think i need to share this with you all so that no one will make the same mistake i have. i thought i would put a few cosmetic upgrades onto my m4cqb. so it went from this:

<a href="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/6f20b"><img src="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/6f20b.jpg"></a>

to this:

<a href="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/033c2"><img src="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/033c2.jpg"></a>

sexy right? the problem being to get the m4 length outer barrel on i noticed that it was catching on something and the bolt wouldnt fully lock forward. so after finding out what was stopping it (turns out it was a small nub on the end of the bolt) i thought "well surely it doesnt look like it does anything, ill just cut it off! what harm could that do?!" yeah...

this is this bolt after i cut off that bit:

<a href="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/7cbce"><img src="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/7cbce.jpg"></a>

went out for a test fire and all that happened was that it fired no bbs and vented all the gas from the mag. turns out that little nub i cut off was the bit that pushes the bbs out of the mag... sigh.. well looks like this called for a new bolt! anyone know how to get one?

Guys using this free float rail, do I need to use the gas tube? Because the gas tube wouldnt fit. Thanks.

The gas tube is only for decoration anyone (myself included) with the TDC hop mod can no longer have the gas tube without modifying it. So mine is removed till I get round to doing the hop mod on my revised upper and I'll measure and mod the gas tube then.

Damn dude...you cutted the feeding tab....thats the one that carries bb's from the mag to the chamber.....damn...that cylinder is useless now...really sad...

tell me about it :( rather annoyingly also kj are being a bit slow answering emails. if i still lived in taipei this would be sorted in a day! :(

also any thoughts on the best way to make that little notch required in the outer barrel? i was thinking of drilling two holes and sort of sanding or filiing it into shape if you get my meaning?

Nice looking gun, freon.

Today my bolt carrier broke. The bottom is cracked and deformed from hitting the buffer retainer. It caught and wouldn't release so I couldn't open up the gun. I unscrewed the receiver extension/buffer tube cap and pushed the bcg back into the upper receiver. Time to contact KJW to see if I can get some parts. Hopefully I get a reply.
