Paul202
The problem is here in the northern US we all woke up with last nights rain frozen, which subsequently melted. I just shot two mags in my backyard, my feet got soaked throguh my shoes. This video should give you an idea of the ice: Edited January 28, 2013 by Paul202

Paul202
Hey guys I'm having a problem with my front retention pin. It has no tension at all and can come out with a hard shake of the gun. Did I lose a print or something?
Hut73
Sounds like it. There should be a pin, and a spring. .. Sent from my totally sexy, Android powered, IPod killing, Samsung Galaxy S3 ;-)
Paul202
Well I think I'll looking at an electrical-tape fix solution here.
frogfish
That picture of the little pin you posted on the last page also looked like a detent pin that would go in the hole with a spring behind it to retain a body pin. You need to be careful with those, unlike an AEG they don't come all the way out, just enough to let the upper loose so that the detent pins don't go flying. Its very easy to accidentally remove the body pins completely. Edited January 29, 2013 by frogfish
Mental Medic
hi Mental Medic- would removing the valve lock plate affect the auto-mode function? It will make the ROF more susceptible to variation due to cooldown. It will also be a little slower than stock.
hayhoward
Damn now I'm tempted to remove it since I don't use full auto at all!
Mental Medic
Give it a shot if you feel comfortable with taking apart your FCG.
Paul202
Well I think I broke the front takedown pin or I lost a spring to it. Should I order a replacement from KJW or can I just order an AEG M4 pin?
frogfish
How did you break the pin? You can actually use the spring and detent pin from a real AR, you can order them from Brownells, BravocompanyUSA, or any other big gun shop. Edited January 29, 2013 by frogfish
Paul202
^I dint know if I really broke it, however I though it was supposed to come out all the way and I tried to force it out with a screwdriver. Now it fully comes at and there is very little friction between the pin and the gun. The pin will come out if I shake the gun hard enough.
Shroker
Are you missing the little detent piece too?
Paul202
Probably, what does it look like?
frogfish
Are you missing the little detent piece too? yeah because he thought it was like an AEG, not like a real AR. Probably, what does it look like? As I said before you are missing your detent spring and pin for your front body pin. Look around on your floor for a small spring and a small pin that looks like the one you posted on the last page. When you remove that body pin on the right side of the AR (the side without the controls) you will notice a small hole perpendicular to the hole for the body pin right around where the head of the pin would sit, a small pin (a detent pin) with a spring behind it goes in there to make sure the pin dosen't fall out. As a word to the wise, when working with things like this never force anything. If you are having to apply much force to take something apart you are doing something WRONG. Paul202
Okay, thanks for the advice. Ifi can't find it, I will just add it to the cars when I buy my Magpul MOE Grip. The only problem is finding it in foliage green color.
frogfish
You could also just take some 100mph tape and tape the pin in place. It dosen't need to be pretty, it just needs to be functional.
Paul202
It dosen't need to be pretty, it just needs to be functional.Words of wisdom. Also does anyone know if this grip will work? Real Steel Magpul MOE's in Foliage Green are out of stock everywhere. Furthermore, how many XTM rail panels are needed to cover up the rails of the CQB version. It appears to be 4 sets of panels for each side, however I want to be sure. http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=24817 Edited January 30, 2013 by Paul202
JT SANBORN
Yes this one should fit in the KJW. Also if you seems can't found it in "Foliage Green" anywhere, I will suggest you to spray paint it. Check this one out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magpul-MOE-grip-any-color-MAG415-BLK-or-MAG415-FOL-/330864949878?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d09167a76 Edited January 30, 2013 by JT SANBORN

Roman!
Love your loadout JT! You can tell you put some time into it. How are you fairing against AEGs when you skirmish?
Paul202
Has anyone else had my problems knocking out the two pins to take off the front sight? I just got my boneyard A&K SR-25, and I'm trying to switch the outer barrel and RIS. However, I dnt think I can take the RIS of off the M4 CQB unless I remove the front sight.
