BBs that do degrade.. and have seen em (over time)

I have for sure seen BBs degrade. They actually shrunk. The only problem was the brand name obviously wasn't written on the side. :P It was around 2-3 years later after they were used. I believe they were Excels.

I don't market Bioval bbs or anything but those are the only bbs I ve tried that actually turn to dust when the hit something. Most others shatter or more likely split down the middle because of the air bubble.

Is this the same Trecam from that thread last year about Biovals causing more damage?

Why yes it is. Now that Marlowe's explained it, I can understand why he behaved the way he did in that thread. I had no idea then that he's connected to Bioval in any way.

As usmcCorps says, makes me not want to buy them, ever. Not that having Bioval customers like Jenkems helped much either.

I have to say, that I for one am going to drop all other bb suppliers, in favor of BIOVALS as of now.

I've never tried them before & have nothing to do with them, but TRECAM's valiant efforts to bring them to my attention have worked.

No more SGMs' Guarder Hpm.28's, Blasters, G&G's, or Devils for me, oh no, they are all going in the bin & down the local land fill. All 40,000 of them.

I am now convinced that all my guns should be run on BIOVAL. I take back my earlier comments about not caring about the environment.

I assume they are super accurate (better than any of the competitors), cheap, come in a nice white colour & weights between .28 & .4? Biodegradable packaging? Available at my local stockist?

Please don't answer any of that, 'cos I really don't give a monkeys.

Thank You BIOVAL for solving all my ecological airsoft needs.

Greg.

Trecam: I suggest you leave the thread now.

You've been banned already for failing to state any commercial affiliation, and were only allowed back on following your communication. Your position here is, at best, probationary; a position which looks worringly jeapordized by your choosing to snipe at me for not allowing Bioval to carry out unscrupulous marketing techniques here. For that action, I have warned you. Continuation will result in a suspension and / or ban.

If you wish to sell Bioval products to the forum, do so in a reputable way; contact me, ask for commercial status and promote bioval on their strengths - not through cloak-and-dagger references to blogs of questionable origins which seek to criticise your rivals.

If I do see you continuing with your current attitude and intent to ram that Bioval's blog down people's throats, then I'm afraid I'll be obliged to treat you as an unsolicited commercial poster, and remove you from the forum in the same fashion that I would any other member.

Thanks. :)

if you would like to ban me go ahead. I have told you zillions of time I am not part of Bioval.

You parade your anti biased positions yet this forum is thriving with the kind of anti Bioval posts that make more of us angry than you think.

If you cannot stomach an open debate based on evidence because you are receiving "threats from companies" then I say your forum indeed your web site IS bia

sed.

I am not in the least bit interested in what Bioval does and I will repeat it again I AM NOT COMMERCIALLY AFFILIATED TO BIOVAL!

I invite you Sir to ban me.

I invite you Sir to ban me.

Oh don't do that, he probably will.

Look, I don't give a hoot about this particular subject but you obviously do.

& fair play to that.

If you don't get a say, then who will be here to champion your passionate feelings on this subject?

Probably no one.

So, stay, follow the rules & put across your opinion. Back it up with facts & continue to give folk information, so they can, if they choose to do so, save the planet................By shooting bb's at each other, oh the irony. :D

Truth is, if they shot better than all the others, I'd buy them irrespective of price, or ecology.

So, tree huggers, make a really good bb. It'll sell itself. & you can sleep at night, knowing our forrests will be there for years to come. ;)

Now, where's my chainsaw.

Greg.

Trecam:

I'm not quite sure why you feel I am being biased. I don't use any biodegradable ammo, as no site I attend requires it. If I do in the future, I'll merrily choose between Madbull, BIOVAL or any other manufacturer, based upon the benefits of the ammo.

Is this going back to Arnie's decision a while back to post the news release about BBBMAX? I really hope you're not choosing to believe that a whole forum team is out to besmirch Bioval because Arnie posted a player's concerns about ONE of their products.

I've said time and time again that my SOLE objection to Bioval is their choice to use blogs such as that to deride competitors. XSNIPERX did the same with Escort a year or two back, and it did Escort no favours.

You like Bioval? Fantastic. Give reasons why. Don't like other manufacturers? Say why. Don't use poorly veiled attacks on other manufacturers to promote bioval. If you are just a player who is a bit of a Bioval fan then there's nothing to lose, is there?

Finally, please stop posting immature responses that depend upon antagonising me so that you feel you can be a martyr to whatever bizarre cause you are choosing to follow. You really are achieving nothing for yourself or for the manufacturer you respect so much by being a drama queen.

actually

I just wanted this thread to be people posting about with examples on what they (personally.. not 2nd hand, or "I heard it from the neighbour's dyslexic god") have found to be actual degradable BBS.

I feel rather slutted that this thread has been trolled.... by a fellow kiwi (purported at least) no less!

Please bring it back into topic of posting your actual experiences.

One thing that I do like about the BIO bbs that I have used (Excel, Marushin) is that their 'whites' they are more a cream colour, so are not as visible when travelling down-range.

The brown ones are fantastic for that... the downside is that you need to sight them in before you even start playing... .. being aware of the wind once your are in-game.

On topic, I actually agree about using off colors that disappear after a few meters. I like using OD, Black, and (don't through to much stuff at me) the clear BBBMAXs. I don't know about degradabilty, but I do like the clear bbs. You must admit. It was a Good idea. I don't sell Biovals or anything and don't embrase Trecam. IMHO, I just think it was smart to make invisible bbs. Who cares If they degrade or not becasue you can't see them on the ground. Sorry no offense but I do like Biovals.

They do cost a FORTUNE though. It is like $28.00 for 4,000

Offtopic a little, also wanted to let people know stay away from Airsplat's regular .20s that are black. They jam every other bb even in a stock 6.08.

Anyone else have bad bbs that jam you can alert us about?

funnily enough yes.

But I don't recall how they have decomposed - the fields that were used with them are green.. and are mixed with others (like the current crop of bios)

They fed fine though.

Fireman: Seriously though (as you seemed to take me seriously before!) thanks for posting the info on the response to the allegations made. I've added them to the appropriate thread and re-opened now that you have given us the basis for an informed discussion.

I've seperated the comments here and we now have the recommendation / personal findings thread for biodegradable here, and the discussion of the potentiall libellous claims made by 'Airsoft Informer' in the original thread.

Cheers. :)

Marlowe, I understand what you did and I did see the work comment as being in jest..... Now I have to do the work of writing my experiences all over again... :P

So basically the past experience I have had with biodegrable bb's:

1. For the life of me I can't remember the brands (one I think the only english on the package was bio bb) but in the past the so called bio bb's broke down into a mushy substance that then was spread out over the ground where as you could not see it. How long it took from there to biodegrade is beyond me.

2. The G&G Bio bb's I use now seem to me to get trampled into the earth before any signs of biodegredation occurs.

3. Water soluble bb's, the ones shown sitting in a glass of water slowly dissolving, are just that water soluble. As soon as the water evaporates you have a pile of mushy substance like the old bio bb's I used to use.

Thats the experiences I had... (maybe I'll use the unused garden out back to do some tests on all brands of bio bb's i can find)

i gues that alot of people don't care about the environment and that the only reason that they would use bio bb is because they have

so its not really important if the degrade as long as it says bio on the bag

for those who do care i have tested bioval's hidd's and cybergun bb's and the only ones that did appear to degrade where the biovals the hidd might have changed a bit i could see a difference and the cyberguns didn't do anything

in general if you want your field to have a environmental impression use od brow or transparent bb they are harder to see when they are on the ground
