greg
I only hope that Marui understand their guns & their customers well enough to make this gun, even better than it's predecessors. Greg.
AnotherJesus
http://gungineer.web.fc2.com/marui_l96aws_od/DSC_0148.JPG This could well be good news. All the benefits of the wide use bucking, and the specifically designed buckings made for the VSR10, with some of the adaptability of the AEG system. Being able to swap to an H spacer, or change the spacer for a harder one to increase hop effect, for heavier ammo. I'm tempted...

Not seen one of those before. Greg.
Trasher
Shame it wasn't the folding stock version. Same thoughts... Marui is a bit late to the L96 party.
RSM
As I am a bit of a pedant, there seems to be a bit of confusion over what is an L96. The two models of rifle produced by Accuracy International that we see used by the military are the AW series in both .308 and .338 calibre (L96 and L115 respectively). What Maruzen/Marui have produced are replicas of the AE models typically used by civilian and police shooters. http://www.accuracyinternational.com/configurator.php AI offer many configurations for both calibres though I agree I would have liked to have seen them get at least the barrel and muzzle break right. That said, this + zero trigger, appropriate spring and cylinder gubbins, whipped firefly hard rubber and a decent 6.03mm barrel and some .29s/.4s = (if you are an L96 fanboy)
bitchtits
this doesnt take any vsr parts at all
greg
this doesnt take any vsr parts at all No. Nothing there I recognise, potentially the cylinder & it's contents. Not the head. Possibly the SGS, hard to tell but looks familiar. Greg.
Trasher
The cylinder and also the piston is smaller. Much smaller. http://s261.photobucket.com/albums/ii77/bn...-L96_Piston.jpg http://s261.photobucket.com/albums/ii77/bn...SpringGuide.jpg
bitchtits
yeah the only paets that could be used are the barrel and bucking, though the barrel may have differnt cuts like an m14 so who knows. seems theres going to be parts made within the next few months though, so thats not bad. think i will wait on the wall with this though,if its any good after time i may consider
greg
As said, not one I'd buy but I bet it's popular. Nice to see the cylinder set down sized, the vsr is a huge lump with the poential to pump a barrel, double the 430mm in the pro-snipe. Greg.
Trasher
With the SVD sold now I'm tempted to buy one... I don't have high expectations, just curious about the new internals.
greg
Too large & unwieldy for me. I just like to shoot & go. Greg.
L4byr1nth
You had to do it, didn't you? Every damn thread! It looks interesting, but I'd be worried about it jamming all the time. Wonder how Blaster Devils go through it? Ben.
docs90
Same thoughts... Marui is a bit late to the L96 party. I couldnt agree more , to many (L96 types ) on the market ,TM should have tried to be differnt My money is staying in my pocket this time ,im letting others be the guinea pigs this time
maverick343432
I'm not getting one. Was it too much to ask for a folding stock? I'll stick with my warrior for now.
L4byr1nth
A useless folding stock that you'll never actually need? Definitely too much to ask! Ben.
Trasher
I'm pretty sure, that a folding stock would come handy... Ever tried to stalk with a long *ss rifle on your back, with the secondary in hand? (All my AEGs have folding stocks.)
scar527
Its a pain in the *ss. I am thinking about ways i could convert a vsr to a folding stock, i just dont know where i could find a follding hinge. or mayber i could just use a regular old folding stock?
L4byr1nth
Yes... I used to hold my TW AICS w/ bipod in one hand whilst stalking with the pistol in my other. Ben.
scar527
i do that most of the time, but unfortunantly my shots with the pistol are very inaccurate unless i use both hands, but thats just me.

greg
You had to do it, didn't you? Every damn thread! Sorry mate but I am obviously Finbar Saunders incarnate. The other day, I offered to keep a mate's, x-wife's, front lawn, in trim................ It was a genuine offer but he wasn't best pleased. I had to get the next round in, when I realized how bad it sounded. Greg.

I've given this some thought but never come to a conclusion. The Smokey's stock is based around a 1" aluminum boxed section, so should be easy to 'fold'. Perhaps thats where you should start, because the standard stock doesn't really offer any answers. Greg.
greg
Heheeheh we can't all be gifted Ben. I can't help noticing that after the word 'gifted', you chose to use the 'window licker' emoticon. Greg.
