SSG69Pro
So, finally an update after 4 weeks! Why this took so long? I smoked a test piece which turned dark enough just after these 4 weeks. But it changed its form a bit because of the humidity, and I dont want this to happen with my stocks. So, I stained them today. Prefinal Result, perhaps I'll make them a little more dark, and I'll let the wood work a day before I oil it to protect it from humidity. The color deals fine with the real appearance. Dremeled in my initials and the year :-) Here the color is right again
DarkLite
Beautiful... So... Beautiful. Sehr güt. Sehr güt.
Operator12
That was amazing work! I cant comprehend how long that must have taken .
A Tobias
this is amazing. i wish i had the talent and the patience to work on a project like this
SSG69Pro
Hmm... I wonder whether to leave it as it is or to have it DMR-like... what do you mean? A pic of my 2 favorites: Matches the color best, I think. Crappy pic though. If DMR, then with M3 Scope, Cheekpad, Harris Bipod and Garand Leather Sling, like this here: Still to come: -last oiling to protect the wood -short 10-round-magazine chopped out of a midcap -Mosfet -those screws in the stock near the receiver -M21-style fire selector
Docv400
The butt cover/sleeve looks good but it's a real shame to cover up that beautiful wood at all.
DrKalinka
Dont cover up the stock. The wood there is absolutely brilliant and its a shame to not show it! As for scope. Go with what works when skirmishing or what looks best if its a wallhanger I love bipods! Keep it on! Also, the sling finishes up the piece and makes it look authentic. Brilliant! Your work is absolutely awesome.
Vercingetorix
If you plan on going the DMR route, why not come up with an adjustable wooden cheekpiece to match the stock? YOu could make it like the G&P one but jsut out of wood, or perhaps like the real M25 stock....
druid799
ditch the cheek pad mate , don"t care if its more "accurate"to the look for a DMR to have on it , its a crime to hide that beautiful wood grain , i"d even be inclinded to say ditch eny scopes and have it in its purest form with just the garand sling . SSG69Pro
Thank you all for the feedback! First of all, you're totally right, it IS a shame to hide the wood, so the cheekpad is dismissed :-) Then I don't want a wooden cheek pad, if I wanted one i would have done it integrated to the stock, but thanks for the idea :-) I decided to have it the pure way at first, just with the sling and a short mag or usual mag. Azulsky
Okay so when do you start taking orders? epic results

Docv400
Thank you all for the feedback!... No. Thank you for making it and showing it off to us.
Wupjak
Wonderful work. Thank you for sharing your progress. Sometimes the documentation of a project rivals the project itself in terms of the time required to get it done just so, so congratulations on accomplishing both in such a professional fashion. Excellent!
Moofner
That is an epic build... massive props to you. Its rare to see a carpenter in the gun world these days.... I had a good time reading through this thread.
Murdoc
Excellent DMR -M21-style fire selector Why don't you make a wood heat shield, if you make an M21???
SSG69Pro
Excellent DMR Why don't you make a wood heat shield, if you make an M21??? That wood heat shield will come anywhen later... its a bit difficult to make, because of some parts of the shield have to be VERY thin.
Murdoc
That wood heat shield will come anywhen later... its a bit difficult to make, because of some parts of the shield have to be VERY thin. I would suggest to use polyesther or epoxy laminate to reinforce the the too thin parts(naturally on the non visible inner side)
SSG69Pro
Good idea! When I have any news 'bout that, I will post them!

vorgaphe
Awesome where did you get the short mag from or is it a custom build?
SSG69Pro
The magazine is a custom build, I've submitted a tutorial here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=197051&st=0&do=findComment&comment=2463131
