tfwey
o thats a sling attachment and on the cheek pad is a additional cheek cushion.
Carson
Ha, excellent. My little cheek piece mousemat cushion is turning out to be quite popular. And all for our delicate little cheeks
Kingcodez
Hah. Yeah I never used the cheeck peice. Â I guess I was more afraid of losing it than anything else. Â I wanna try Rhino Lineing my next Famas haha. Make it more indestructable. Â Does anyone know if a M16 barrel mount M203 would mount to the Famas barrel? I was thinking of having it directly on the thing, and then fill in/build my own handguard to go around/infront of it. Â I want as short (From top to bottom not front to rear) of a Famas as I can get. Having the scope sit so high up and the launcher so low made me feel like I was carrying around a freakin cereal box attached to a yard stick.
-king-
My FA-MAS HOW DO YOU TAKE OFF THE FLASHHIDER?
Shard
You cant, its a part of the outer barrel hence needing a 14mm adaptor and losing the outer barrel in order to fit a supressor.
Bob the Angry Potato
Untrue. It's not part of the barrel, at all. Â Remove the small metal screw under the flash hider, and tug for all it's worth.
elsermana
You know, I noticed that on my SV. However, I think it's glued on there. Any tips on getting the glue off? I've got a really nice G36k flash hider I want to put on it!
Kingcodez
You'll need to just twist and pull it off. The Flash hider's diameter is actually slightly larger than the outer barrel's. This usually causes wobble hence why most people glue theirs on. (I used rubber cement.)
Shard
My appologies, I could of sworn the SV that I had was all one part. Then again, that was over 2 years ago , a sketchy memory from too much alcohol to blame I guess Edited September 16, 2006 by Shard

Bob the Angry Potato
Welcome  Everyone makes mistakes, I thought the same thing 'til Carson did his guide and I actually bothered to look at the FAMAS in detail.

ninjabadger
Every Famas user on Arnies will have a mousemat cheekpad by next week
dismemberd
i have taken the flash hider off my famas and you DO NOT TWIST, you pull it off after removing the very tiny screw at the bottom
Carson
Every Famas user on Arnies will have a mousemat cheekpad by next week <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â LOL, that would be nice to see. I cant remember exactly how the hell I came up with the idea. But I do know that my old secondry school (about 4 years ago) replaced all of their old mousemats cos they had the wrong web address on them, so I took a load, combined it with my cheekpiece and hence forth the FAMAS cheekpiece cussion was born. SPG
This'll make you feel really chuffed. I've got a Friend in the French Army, he was telling me abot this thing they've recently started doing with their FAMASes to make them more comfortable. Something about sticking a mousemat on the cheek piece. Â The only difference is they use double sided carpet tape so they can peel it off if the armourer comes round. Â Bet you feel good now.
