lego head
Hello I have been into paintball for about a year but can’t be done with all the stop start games, hand bags, bright pink and yellow speedball suits and getting frowned at for wearing combats. So I thought I would give airsoft a go as Im more in to the tactics side of things and using common sense. I have already got an AEG its a classic army M15A4 CQB from an unpaid dept, that I have started to pimp out. Thanks ebay!!!! I hope to go to Ground Zero soon to break my cherry! lol If anyone can give me any advice it would be greatly received………. Thanks……. lego head

Robinio
Remember to charge the batteries to your AEG, sucks when you come with batteries that are nearly empty. Read some common airsoft rules and laws, it will set you straight.
The lolinator
I played paintball once, then played airsoft and I knew which one to go with straight away you'll find that your airsoft gun will have a longer range than paintball guns (at least I did, the paintball gun I got on the day fired shorter distance than the CYMA AK I rented on my first airsoft game) if the site you go to has a safety brief at the beginning of the day, that is very helpful as I learnt all the rules on that 1 morning safety brief on my first day, and a reminder every skirmish day has imprinted them into my memory forever but a quick read beforehand can't hurt either
ninja master of coffee
Yes, I keep getting asked if I want to go paintballing in the middle of Reading, I've actually convinced a couple that they actually want to go airsofting and the last guy to ask me got the response "I'm an airsofter" he immediately backed down I would also say, look into a decent GBB pistol, they're the most silly fun things ever and quite handy in a pinch!! Kowalsky
After 5 years playing Paintball (both speedball and woodball) took me just 1 airsoft match to do the switch. Welcome to the "PVC" Side of war! (well, not so PVC nowadays, damn Bio-Friendly ammunition, breaking my lines) P.S: You are going to need a bigger closet for all your new stuff

Your house will fill up with lots of gear that you may never use more than once. That’s another reason why I’ve moved over to airsoft as it costs £50 for a walk-on at my local paintball range and you only get 2000 paintballs and £25 for a further 2000 and I have a heavy trigger finger. That is bloody cheap. Around here it used to be £7 per 100 and that was 6 years ago.

I think I might go for the Afghanistan UKSF look as there is plenty British patt desert kit floating about at the moment and you can mix it up with green dpm,US and civilian kit that looks quite good. As I’m a total “gun freak” that collects de-acts and militaria, I have all ready got a mega scope for my M15 A4, I bought original USMC acog at a porn shop (not that kind of porn) in California last year an I got it for $420 total bargain. To the best of my knowledge it is the same as what the UKSF use. I hope to get one of those lasers issued to uk troups form a mate of mine just working out the price. As I’m a newbie I have to wait 2 months to buy a pistol, and its got to be a sig. I think I best take my bank manager out for a drink. Lol Looking forward to Sunday as I’m off to ground zero in Hampshire to pop my cherry! Thanks for the advice.
