Seeing as it's a "laser weapon", why would you feel the need to point out it's caseless? It's like saying that my crossbow is caseless.

On top of that IR beams wouldnt make particulary good directed energy weapons. IR gets absorbed by water in the atmosphere very easily, and typically have low energies. Something like an x-ray laser would probably have better atmospheric propagation.

Nevermind, looks nice very fallout-y

It looks kinda cool.. but man, what the hell? you are popping out these crazy (but interesting) designs faster than a fat kid could eat a muffin if his life depended on it.. D: at least show us some of the work that goes into them.. ya know, like an ongoing picture diary of sorts. :S!

I most certainly like the way it looks, but... err, what does it do exactly?

And as far as caseless goes, the term isn't limited to brass. On many futuristic energy weapons, battery packs serve as magazines and in more energy depleting weapons, as single shot items. So caseless in this case could mean that it has an internal power source that is rechargeable instead of replaceable.
