Here's an image of me and my friends from the first game with our Stargate uniforms.

Stargate SG-13

sg-13.jpg

It's a beginning so there are some work left.

What we have is OD BDU, OD Patrolcap and we all have the same black tactical vest. Wielding three P90s and a G36C. Random pistols.

SG-13 patch, Stargate patch, USAF patch.

Here's a theoretical question. We've seen that US and Russian (and multinational) teams use non standard equipment and hardware, what would a british SG team wear, and what weapons would they carry? (other than the obvious zat's, etc)

Gathering peoples thoughts for a possible loadout

Ajo79 looks really good look forward to seeing more, are the vests you guys are wearing the Condor cross draws? how did you find them for the skirmish field? What are you planning on adding/upgrading if I may ask (or shall I wait and see)?

I should get an OD BDU, its too warm now for a jacket.

If a UK team was shown I would imagine they would be found wearing DPM with the usual SG black vest, it would scream airsofter trying to SG and getting it wrong instead of imaginative airsofter doing SG-UK though.

Hi guys, Tomper here, buddy of Ajo79. smile.gif

We bought the vests here:

http://www.asmc.de/en/Weapons/Airsoft/Equipment/Vests/Tactical-vest-USMC-black-p.html

Mainly because they were relatively cheap, they seemed to have three large pockets that could fit P90 magazines, and they looked okay.

The experience has been this:

The cross-draw pistol holster is nice, helps carry the weight of the pistol well. However, on my Hi-Capa I managed to eject the magazine several times by mistake since the eject-button gets squeezed accidentally when you lie on your stomach or just flail around too much. Had to tape it to the gun, just in case.

You can remove the pistol holster and attach a double-P90 mag-pouch there instead, which fits really well. The 45 degree slant of the molle makes the mags fit snugly on the left side of your body.

The big mag pouches can fit a P90 magazine, but you cannot close the flap unless you extend it with some creative thread-and-needle-work. Also you can't really use the right most pouch for a P90 mag, since you'll end up with it stuck up in your armpit... so in reality you can only fit two P90 mags on the vest.

The vest was really adjustable. One size fits all was pretty true for our team, we're of varied size.

Quality was okay, not on par with the big brands, but still quite okay.

Our plans for the future might be to solve the question on how to get more P90 mags with us. Possibly a leg-holster? Skip the pistol on the vest and attach mag-pouches there?

While we love the iconic P90, some of us are looking into stronger weaponry for long distance forest fights. I use a G36 semi-sniper rifle sometimes. I know the other guys are oogling the FN2000 rifle, which is not features in the Stargate series, but can be considered the big brother of the P90 I guess.

Yeah, as much as you would be tempted to go with DPM for the classic look, it would be too obvious. Perhaps something SF inspired like Multicam or MTP with a smoke green RAV with a green beret. As for guns, HK416s with a Hi-Power in a chest holster mounted on the RAV. Seems cool in my head heh.

As long as they do the job you want and give the look you are going for thats all the matters really, I have used a P90 in the past and used a Guarder AK leg rig, lets you carry 4 P90 mags.

I can see the FN2000 being carried by SG teams along with a number of other modern (if not all new) instead of the common P90's, M4/M16's and MP5's, I have been thinking up some modern twists to SG gear whilst keeping the look which hopefully I can look at properly soon.

The MTP idea might be good but reading the description it doesnt sound too unlike a regular UKSF ish loadout.

When I first started airsofting I had always said that one day I was going to do a Stargate SG1 loadout and it has taken me so long because I wanted to get it perfect, well it has been finally finished. I decided to go for the seasons 1-3 Colonel O'Neill look with the MP5 and scope combo.

All photography was done by Sam Garside Photography, check out their website and facebook pages:

To start with I have a Classic Army MP5A5 with torch handguard and custom clawmount with Colt x4 scope. You can use either an A3 or an A5 as both of these were used during the production of the series (the Navy trigger grouped MP5 was a TM MP5A5 used for non-firing scenes, where they used an SEF A3 for firing scenes.) I have the A5 because I found a good package on zeroin. The magazine's are clamped together, I got the TM mag clamps, I personally prefer the A3 SEF trigger unit so I will be changing to one of those hopefully at some point. Anyway I digress, the sling is an MP5 3 point sling. I don't have a sidearm for this loadout yet as I'm still trying to decide whether to go the dropleg route or not.

The basic needs are olive green jacket, trousers and a baseball cap and black vest. The one that they used in the actual series was a Blackhawk Medic's vest, however it's not the most practical of vests so I went for a Webtex Assault vest which looks very similar to the Blackhawk rifleman's vest. The only difference between the rifleman's vest and the medic's vest is the pouches and it only has one small pouch at the top. The rifleman's vest was actually used in Stargate Atlantis. The benefit of the rifleman's vest is that each of the large magazine pouches fit's two MP5 magazines with the mag clamp quite well.

Even though they don't have dump pouches in the series I have added one to the loadout to make reloads easier, thankfully the rubber bayonet I already had is based on the same one used by SG1. The gloves are Nomex flight gloves with the fingertips cut off, I would recommend if you do cut the fingertips off get someone to re-stitch the sides of the gloves as the stitching on mine came undone after 3 games.

The patches are the SG unit patch and the earth symbol patch, in the pictures the other patch is for my local team so you can ignore that one.

The goggles I have are Wiley X SG1 (possible irony there) stamped steel mesh goggles. I normally wear a lower face mask when in game too as I don't want to lose a tooth.

Looks good. I used to have one of the actual jackets they used (with the felt or whatever material around the collar), and it was really nice. Awesome jacket, but a bit pricey. You're making me want to get another one so I can make an SG team kit :D

Yeah I saw how pricey they were and decided it would be better and cheaper to get a standard Olive Green BDU jacket and not go for a genuine SG1 one as they're not going to be as good quality as the price would lead you to believe too.

I got the real flight jacket they used, not one of the cosplay repros. For $170 (paid them a bit more to sew velcro on the shoulders and breast), it was a pretty damn nice jacket.

Might actually get another one now with my tax return.....

My take on good ol' colonel O'Neill with Glacier glasses to boot. Vest is Blackhawk Omega Assault, not the Omega Medic but this O'Neill also has an M4. :)

Decided to go with ACU-jacket top in OD as most of it is under the vest anyway and did not have time to look around for a correct flight jacket in ripstop.

the Zat's holding up pretty well, haven't skirmished with it in a while (don't want to get my expensive jacket dirty :-) ) part of it fell off ages ago (the little top part) but it still looks like a Zat. It was originally a 2 part resin replica (the main body part and the little "fin" on the top) that is fairly solid.

still have my MP5 and P90, might just get some more up to date photos done soon, including my desert gear......

What makes your jacket? Mines one of the Gibson & Barnes ones SGC.Net used to have made. Some day we should arrange to get a bunch of Stargate softers at the same site and have an SG-Team-Team.

You should get some new photos done, you dont see many desert ones and is one Ive always wanted to do but havent yet.

I still have my MP5, potentially selling my PTS Masada soon and may pick up another P90.

I was lucky enough to get one of Dans Scifihero OD jackets way back, the black one is the Polish guys (I forget his name) replica ones he used to do on Ebay and my desert on is a rare MA1 in ripstop not nylon identical to the one worn by the scientists in "the Other guys" (complete with bright orange lining!) might be looking to shift it if your interested :-)

P90's are the way forward, I had 3 at one point but I am back down to 1 :-) never tried the other makes (CA,ACM etc)

found a couple more oldies:

Your showing off now, great photos!

Ah well yours will look much better than mine I have one the sage ones, I picked up one of the Scifihero black ones though. Ive been on the look out for those, its more the lack of decent tan coloured vests and holsters these days which holds me back.

All Marui P90s? I had 2 for a time, had the idea to build one of the cases they had to store and transport them but never did it.

Yeh both of mine where second hand, only got rid of them as I needed the money and regretted it. Your photos have made my mind up of getting another one.

Heres one of mine which is also found earlier in the thread, back from 2005 or 2006 (god more than 6 years ago)

Finding matching trousers is impossible with mine so I gave up worrying about it, I could always try dying them the same colour but thats bound to go wrong.

Slightly more recent with woodlands (April this year) it just doesnt seem right with a Masada though.

Guess what I managed to grab myself off eBay?

Screen used Helment & WIley X SG-1s that aparently Adam Baldwin wore during Heroes!

P90 was the first airsoft gun I bought had it for coming up 9 years and will never ever let it go! Coupled with a P90 sling built by the same chap who supplied Stargate so its bang on and damn comfy!

One thing I love to do is collect the glasses from all the shows.

Got the WX SG-1s (SG1), WX Blinks (SGU) trying to find a set of Bugaboos found some but cant afford them yet :(
