Various retailers i've used

Recommended Posts

Just a quick few points on retailers i've used, and what they're good and bad for.

Airsoft Armoury - Fantastic customer service, fantastic walk in shop. The website is inaccurate with stock levels and lacking a lot of accessories they stock, but a quick phonecall will solve those problems. They're brilliant for purchasing RIF's, and will often offer a discount for larger purchases. My personal favourite place to buy anything airsoft. They're also very good for acquiring difficult to find items, and are more than happy to offer advice and information free of charge. They seem to specialise in G&P/Classic Army/VFC products, which is no bad thing at all. However, they don't stock a few types of weapon, and don't do TM AEG's as far as i'm aware. The engineer is also very competent, although repairs and upgrades can sometimes take a little longer than other places. Internet orders are easy and despatch and delivery is usually quick.

Zero One - Customer service has become awful lately, unfortunately. They've got an excellent range of products and a very good website, and some of the best prices around. However, the phone is almost constantly engaged and very difficult to get through. On top of that, they barely seem to answer e-mails at all these days. Great for almost anything, but any aftersales support required can be a right pain in the rs, simply for the inability to contact them. Specialising in ICS and ARES, they also stock all kinds of weapons by most of the major manufacturers. I've only ever had one weapon worked on - A G&P M4 with a new front end and some internal work done. The wrong front end was fitted, and when i received the gun back, it flat out didn't work. Jammed every shot thanks to a poorly re-constructed hop unit when the tightbore barrel was fitted. Also sent 2 pistols to be stripped and cleaned, and both were returned in pretty much the same condition i'd sent them down in. Very quick service if you order during the week and select next day delivery, assuming all is in stock.

Wolf Armouries - Avoid them like the plague, in my experience. The shop is nice enough to have a perve in, but most of the staff i've spoken too haven't had a clue. They also spent 4 weeks fitting an FTK into a friend's M16 - When he finally got it back, it fired at 210fps and the selector wouldn't move to fully auto. After being serviced by a decent airsoft shop, it was discovered the £200 full tuneup kit had in actual fact been a new M100 spring, and some seemingly second hand prometheus gears and bearings - The cause of the low FPS was a crack in the gearbox casing, which wolf neither mentioned nor repaired. They're also very expensive, and treat newcomers to the shop in the same way Comic book guy from the simpsons does. I've had poor product advice and customer service, not to mention the blatant theft on my friend's M16 - They fitted ~£70's worth of parts, and stole £130 is the way i see it. They're also fairly expensive and the website is a bit pants. A couple of members of staff try their best, but generally the place is awful.

I'd never use them again, for anything whatsoever.

Land Warrior Airsoft - Haven't had a bad experience yet. Very friendly customer service, excellent range of RIF's - Mainly chinese stuff at the moment, but they've also started stocking CA and a few other higher end manufacturers. Excellent prices, good product range and good all round, although not the hugest range of accessories at the moment. They also e-mail you a tracking number on dispatch of the order, which is a nice touch.
