Maruzen VZ61 Disabling Auto

Can someone help me disable the automatic on this Maruzen Vz61? I dunno how to work this selector plate o.o

First picture is auto, second picture is safety

 

This is done by rotating the switch towards the right, which makes that lever thingy move left.

 

I was thinking of filing in one of the locking grooves.

fill it in with jb weld or something to disable it

it has a single shot function, just flip the selector in the other direction from safe.

 

disabling auto by manipulating the selector shaft will do nothing. is there a better reason behind this?

 

i think that filling in the groove will effectively make all 3 selector positions safe modes.

ahh i read it wrong i thought it was opposite

 

just file it down to the same height as safe or Semi
