Well, it's not my entire gear. There's a first line, helmet, more comms and at times a backpack as well.

This will, however give you an idea of the winter-specific aspects of it.

The jacket looks squeaky-clean as it hasn't been fielded yet. Pants have been used one time.

Kitlist:

- Norwegian issue winter camo pants

- Norwegian issue winter camo jacket w/ ghillie mod

- Wooodland ECWCS or another membrane suit

- fleece and polypro

- MM or bunny boots (heavy but very warm)

- some kind of knee pads

- USMC beanie hat (not so good when the cold wind is)

- polartec fleece neck gaiter (excellent thing, strongly recommend)

And here you can check a camouflage quality of the snowwhite and CB gear.

even though the uk isn't as cold as alot of places, like in bits of the US and norway haha, obviously no snow so no snow suit, regardless it will be the first time I'll be skirmishing in a while next time I go, so naturally I'm well excited and planning what to wear. I'm basically a woman. Anyway, chances are it'll be leo kohler "ksk" trousers, SPOSN Gorka anorak top, brit norgie and a helly hansan insulating doodah. Brit leather gloves and a fleece pack, and a snugpak softie for when I'm not running about.

Cheers.

VERY NICE KIT
Thx. :-)

what gas do you use for the pistols?
Well, these are spring-loaded handguns. But its don't work properly at -15'C (5' F?). So, we do drilling and maneuvering.

Skarclaw

SPOSN Gorka anorak top
Interesting choice. Why is that?

No pics available at the moment, but in a snowy environment I usually wear:

Helly Hansen base layer (LIFA shirt + LIFA long johns)

BA issued Norgie shirt

BA issued thermal fleece liner

Arktis 1015 Waterproof smock

Arktis 1053 Waterproof trousers

Double socks (padded patrol socks + Thorlo 100 Mile Combat socks)

GTX boots (BA issued pro-boots or Han Wag "Special Forces")

BA issued snow camo jacket

About load carrying system and backpack, it depends from operation lenght and targets...

I'll just list my planned kit for next sunday's games, perhaps I'll be able to get some photos then. At the moment it's around -22 degrees C (-7 degrees fahrenheit) here and we have a few cm of snow, so I'm going for warm clothes and snow camo.

So:

-Some kind of sports technical base layer

-Fleece mid layer

-Hiking socks + finnish m05 socks

-Bundeswehr Goretex winter trousers

-BW Feldbluse

-BW Parka

-BW Goretex raincoat

-BW snow suit

-Haix KSK3000

-BW Goretex gaiters

-NVA woollen neck gaiter

-BW scarf

-BW (hideous but warm) winter cap

-BW winter gloves

-BW Goretex-gloves

With these I'll probably be using a Moskito KSK-vest in flecktarn, as it can accommodate all 16 M4-mags and both of my M249 box mags at once. Guns will be Dboys HK416, A&K M249P and WELL L96. Probably the L96 will be the only one still working at the end of the day.

Anybody have cold weather glove recommendations?

I prefer neoprene gloves. They are quite light but have superior insulation properties, especially when they get wet, as it probably does in the snow :D

Have to admit tho that I´ve used also BW nomex gloves as long as they stay dry and then switched to neoprenes.

Here´s one skirmish pic from last winter:
