swannie_2006
Yo, I want to buy a railed full metal 1911. Given that I lack the knowledge of dissembling and re-assemblying a pistol (the frame that is) I am thinking of buying a full gun. So far I saw two pistols on the market: one is from eHobbyasia with PGC frame and one from Elite Shooting Centre with Pro-Win kit. My question is, is a PGC kit a decent enough or should I stick with the Pro-Win one? Price wise there is a serious difference: PGC : 356 USD, Pro-Win kit : 359 GBP. Thanks for the help. BaBaBooey
Hi. It's my understanding that PGC and Pro-Win are one in the same? I don't know, I could be very wrong...I don't have the 1911 kit, but I do have a P226 kit and it has both references to Pro-Win and PGC (on the box, manuals, etc.).
Unbad-N
It's the same company, it says pgc on my pro-win GB
swannie_2006
Thanks guys. Then I go for the "cheaper" solution
Smitty619
KWA is coming out with some new 1911 "Professional Training Pistols" They look pretty nice and should be pretty reasonable. LINK
swannie_2006
Yeah. Thing is I need a black 1911 with built-in 20mm rails that is compatible with TM MEU mags (I have 4 of them already). I have a feeling KWA wouldn't fit the bill
SamJacksonFan
Yeah, looking foreward to it, but they could have left the slide plain black at least. But if it is paint it can be removed with some tricks. Anyway I figure as PGC has Pro-win as a branch, I think Nova is the same with Prime. Maybe marketing, maybe budget versions for broad market? Can only do good for variety.
uscmCorps
I checked out the KWA pistols at Shot Show this year. They were very nice. And unlike my TM 1911, the KWA's actually decocked properly.
ThaFlash
Anyway I figure as PGC has Pro-win as a branch, ... That's what it is. Pro-Win was initially started to separate PGC's GBB stuff from AEG stuff. But it just ended up confusing people, and judging by their own product names, it may have confused themselves too.
