Relish
Looks great man! Thats the same loadout I used to rock before I picked up the SPC, right down to the TA31, PEQ-2, and M951. I still rock the scrim netting too . If you wanna be really gangsta, I believe Ontario Knives, the company that makes the new kabar-style bayonet for the Corps, makes a training version of said bayonet.
Tenebraex
Appreciate the kind words. Speaking of scrim netting, do you know where I can find a proper set for the helmet? The one I picked up ended up being too large, and it was stitched onto some weird window screen material. And I saw the trainers in boot camp. TMC also makes a replica. Relish
I cut my own from a camo net sheet, and anchored it on the four helmet strap points, as well as with the cateye band.
Tenebraex
PEQ2 and M951 slapped on, quick pic.. Where'd you buy your camo net sheet?
TeddyBhoy
Nice kit Tene! Bet the mask is a pig to play in, especially in your climate!
Relish
I scooped a scrap piece from my local surplus store, and had to paint one side tan. I use it on my newer MICH lid with and without a helmet cover.
Tenebraex
Thanks TeddyBhoy. It's not all that bad.. I'll probably check my surplus store if they're open Friday or Saturday.. In the meantime, ordered an OK3CS replica, killflash, and zipcuffs. Pretty much done at this point, then it's just a matter of using it all enough to make it look cooler. TeddyBhoy
The FILBE I bought is missing the straps on the bottom which tie to the frame and then clip to the bottom of the bag to allow the carrying of a sleeping Mat or similar. Anyone know where I Could buy those or have a set for sale ? Even if one of you guys state side could grab one from a surplus store over there I'd throw some money on top for your doing so
Arnesen
Picture of my team taken at Ghost Zone 2015 this weekend. Aiming for that USMC grunt look. Very much a work in progress, but getting there.
