shadownova
I used to think the SPC was silly looking but each time I see it I like it more and more. Maybe I'll get one for home defense purposes. Does it take some other form of soft armor or will my BALCS soft armor fit inside?
Trzewinski
The soft armors are sewn inside the SPC and they are the exact size and design of the SPC. BALCS soft armor won't fit inside.

gbiscuit
New stuff from Reuters today: http://www.reuters.com/article/slideshow?a...1ZJ20100213#a=1 In the first pic, note the 7.62 rifle with the 203, crane and grippod. That is just a whole bunch of what the *fruitcage*.

ErikBobbo
How adjustable is the Pantac SPC? And is it common for marines to use Oakley boots, or is that a MARSOC-thing?
gbiscuit
That is a m4 in 5.56 with a 20rd mag. Now that I think about it, you're probably right, I just looked at it again and the angle probably has something to do with the seemingly odd sizing.
shadownova
How adjustable is the Pantac SPC? And is it common for marines to use Oakley boots, or is that a MARSOC-thing? Oakley boots aren't authorized for most units, but special units (like FR and MARSOC) can get away with it most times.

Hope you can resist putting too much on it, so the distinctive shape and features of it remain visible. What size is it? Is there any way to mount the side SAPI pouches on the inside of the cummberbund or is the second gen I-SPC's integrated cummberbund a completely different design?
Mr.USMC
you could remove that rank insignia, unless you are a realdeal... But mostly looks good.

sgtHanzo
He's a Marine, but I think he should flip that K-Bar upside down. @ Fatal - I won't be able to reach it anyway even if it's upside-down (which was how it was before). I've got short arms! LOL! In any case, I think I'd reach for my 1911 as a secondary if ever... Besides, you'll be there on my six, ready to lend a brother a hand with his blade. @ Joe - Congrats on reaching E-5, man. Have they sent you to NCO school yet? btw... where can a brother source that SPC patch velcro'ed on your PC? PM back if it's something that can be made available to a DD-214 Marine. @ Mr.USMC - Thanks for watching over the insignia, chief. Yup! Fatal is correct. That's the last rank I earned before I got out. ...now let's get back on topic...

Is there any way to mount the side SAPI pouches on the inside of the cummberbund or is the second gen I-SPC's integrated cummberbund a completely different design? Yes, that piece of nylon's great ! Mine is a medium. I'll put 2 frag pouches on it, issued IFAK and change the FSBE II canteen pouch for a FireForce or PPI one. On the back I'll put a source WPX hydra system, and that will be all I think No, no way to mount the SSAPI pouches on the inside of the cummer, there is no MOLLE pals inside, unfortuntely. What about the ISPC's cummer ? How is it designed ? I heard the ISPC's cummerbund was in fact a MTV's cummerbund ... And as I've never seen one in real, I can't say. Someone to clear the situation ? You got a ISPC ? Let me know Cheers
