davedawg123
WIP... Â Â A couple of minor things I'm looking to change. As for big ticket stuff, I'm tempted to go RS/Prime MUR-1A upper and Prime DD lower if they'll fit without too much effort.
frogfish
I'm loving the DD sights, Â I recently got mine and they work wonders for a top mounted light like a TLR-1, they also feel more robust than my clone MBUS.
davedawg123
Yeah, I was extremely pleased with the DD sights. I had Troy battlesights ready to go but I liked these far more.
-Drake-
Thats real nice Davedawg, Is that an Adam arms gasblock ?
frogfish
Dave how's the sight plane with the T-1, I have to admit, I've been waiting on my upper after some custom work and other than having my rail unit all setup, I have yet to actually put it all together and see as I don't have an upper receiver.
davedawg123
It is a Dytac PWS piston gas block. Â As for the sight plane of the T1, the spacers in the KAC mount allow me to change between absolute and lower 1/3.
frogfish
As for the sight plane of the T1, the spacers in the KAC mount allow me to change between absolute and lower 1/3. Â Â Ohh fancy, is this a real deal mount or is there a clone available, I'd love to give absolute a whorl, I've only ever dealt with lower 1/3.
davedawg123
The mount is Dytac's diecast version. They were out of stock on the CNC version but I'm pleased and it was cheaper too. There are two spacers included. No spacer gives a low mount, 1 spacer gives absolute, and 2 spacers gives lower 1/3. However, only 2 sets of spacer screws are included, those that work with 2 spacers or no spacers. Edited March 25, 2011 by davedawg123
FHairsoft1
Something I picked up for fun. Had the stock for years and never used it. Did some work today and was able to get a Lipo to work in it Not sure what i wanna do about the front sight. Guess the Holo sight isnt set in place for sure
frogfish
only 2 sets of spacer screws are included, those that work with 2 spacers or no spacers. Â Â that sucks, none the less I may give it a try and source the proper screws, I've got a fastenal around here that can get just about whatever I need.
davedawg123
Yeah, I'll be hitting up my local Ace Hardware for screws for the absolute co-witness, o-rings for the mag inlet valves, and maybe a shim for the upper/barrel. The DD barrel nut leaves just a hair of space that allows for very slight movement of the barrel.

slu
orb: Â Great stuff. That is just terrific. Your M4 would make a great early-2000 Force Recon weapon. To you have 3-burst trigger groups in your lowers? Â Carter, Don Vido: Â Thanks for the comments, friends! Â The SPR? Really? That's like the oldest thing in those photos! I was hoping you'd ask about the A4, which is probably the least mutt-ish thing I have! Â Anyway the SPR is a WAM4 mutt. The lower is Prime with a 2nd gen LMT stock and Magpul ASAP plate, with G&P internals. The upper is an Iron Airsoft Larue upper with a PRI gas buster charger, KAC URX, ARMS rings and a few other KAC doodads. The scope is a King Arms (I think) Leupold M3 clone, but if I'm crazy enough I might replace that with a Leupold MR/T. The barrel is a 16" DYTAC with a G&P SPR brake and can (brings the length to the correct 18"), and a Badger Ordnance Mk. 12 gas block. BCG is a 5KU aluminum carrier with a G&P NP nozzle set. Â I'm going to replace the Larue upper with a modified RS upper as soon as I can head down to the machine shop. The Larue upper will go on another upper that's currently in parts. Â MRF: Â You're lucky you get to eat Polish pastries and other delicacies. Edited March 25, 2011 by slu

Leon Kennedy
Got some new toys in the mail today, but I can't decide if I like tan rail covers. Either I'm going to get more tan parts and make a two-tone rifle, or go for the all-black rifle. I do mostly CQB and dense woodland, so either really works. Opinions are appreciated. The rails aren't so 'yellow' in real life, and I plan to write some impressions or a review of the holo clone. Â Sorry for ###### quality. No good camera on hand. Jimmypie
they fit really snug in the m4 but perfect in my scar, however they feed perfectly in both, im hoping that being/plastic/polymer they may help with cool down. Â The only issue for some could be the depth that the fill nozzle now sits,a standard gas bottle nozzle may not reach, but i have some long adaptors that do the job great.
